I think we should have shorter school days because we get tired all day long and by afternoon we’re out of it. I also think we should have shorter school days because we have other activities and they give us all this homework that takes time to do when we have hardly any time to do it because we have a lot of sports and other activities. If we had shorter school days we would have plenty of time to do it without being in a rush. If they are going to have full school days then i think we should be able to have one half of the day be a learning time and the other half be fun time. I think that would give us more time to hang out with our friends. I also think we should have shorter school days because some of the subjects we can teach ourselves. Study Hall, Gym, and Lunch we can all teach ourselves so that cuts off half the day right there! Thats why I think we should have shorter school days.
I do not think that we should wear school uniforms for many reasons. One reason is that people express themselves using how they look.(Random pi π) For example, if someone is wearing a baseball shirt, you can infer about them that they probably like baseball. Another example is if you like to wear fancy clothes people can infer that they are probably a sophisticated person. Another reason we should not have school uniforms is because people can be distinguished by the clothes they wear. For example, if you know someone that likes to shop at, say, Justice, then you can tell who they are if they wear the same types of shirts every day. Another reason is that i like to read the funny things on people’s shirts, just to get a good laugh or seeing what they’re into, or even finding our city on a shirt for a concert or event. Over all, clothes express who we are, and it’s very very difficult to express ourselves if we all look the same. You are unique, just like everybody else ♥
No, I do not think we should get payed to go to school. Adults get payed because they work, and they work much harder than kids. Most of the time the only work that we really have to do is homework and studying for tests. Learning is a privilege, and a lot of the time learning can be fun! Finally, to conclude my answer, children do not have to pay bills, or food, so we do not need to be paid for going to school, because we just simply do not deserve it. Work does not sound like much fun to me, when I get older. So, i will enjoy school, and be responsible with my things and get payed by doing chores, rather than just having to go to school to get paid. That is just way to easy, and we would all become rich.
Gas stations should stop selling energy drinks because caffeine is not very good to kids (mostly my age). I yesterday I drank a cappuccino bubbletea (smoothie with tapioca pearls) and drank a cup of pop. I couldn't sleep until 11:40 P.M. because I was very jittery (shaking uncontrollably and restless). I guess it was kind of awkward because I scared everyone in my house because I was walking around like an old man. Caffeine is alright when its just a little, but the amount of caffeine I consumed was a little too much. If gas stations keep selling energy drinks, the kids drinking them might get addicted to the drink, therefore making them go through what I went through. Energy drinks (caffeine) is/are unhealthy to kids, because they are more vulnerable than adults are. I don’t want kids my age to go through what I went through because it was a little scary, so gas stations should stop selling energy drinks to kids.
I think we should have shorter school days because some people have lots of after school activities and sports. Lots of people can’t get homework done because they don’t have enough time and are too busy. If we had a shorter school day, I bet a lot more people would get their work done. It would also improve our education because we could get more sleep. No more will teachers have to worry about sleepy students. Yes, woman should be allowed to play baseball professionally! I think it’s very unfair that girls hardly have any “Major League” sports, besides basketball. It would be even better if there was a professional softball league, because that’s what most girls play, rather than baseball. A lot of people who I have played softball with think it’s unfair, like I do, that men/boys get to have a major league and such, for football, baseball, basketball, E.T.C and girls don’t (with the exception of basketball, of course). I mean, being a softball player myself, I know how much work and effort we all put into this sport. Even girls who play baseball, I’m sure, know and do. I think it’d be nice for girls to be able to play a wider variety of sports for a living. Girls are just as good as boys are, aren’t they? So, I think it’s a really good goal to have, is to get girls to be able to play baseball professionally, or get their very own league to play in. :)
I think that we should get iPads, because our school wouldn’t have to replace broken text books, and spend money on paper homework. iPads also allow you to send various file to the students. If we had iPads then kids would be more enthusiastic to learning, because kids like working with iPads. iPads also have many apps that can help the kids learn. If we bought iPads it would cost a lot of money, but we wouldn’t have to use textbooks or homework on paper. I pads are also easy to monitor. The students would have a sense of trust , because you trusted them upon iPads.
We should never have to wear school uniforms! Clothes that you chose to wear let you express your self. I feel like with neon colored clothing you can show that you are happy and like to have a nice splash of color. Also it nice to not to always look like everyone else, with clothes of your choice you can show more of who you are. You really get to show who you are also when you wear something to support your favorite sports team. Also I bet most people likes to read shirts that say funny things on them like “Stop homework save the trees!” Also uniforms are usually not colorful most of the time there just beige.
I think we should get paid for going to school for multiple reasons I don't want to talk about because it’ll take too long. One reason I will say is that it is motivation to get you to come to school. Also, we do so much work and we come home tired and we have to do what? Homework! It’s amazing, and worst of all we don't get payed, yet. One question is though, would there be school if students did not attend? School wouldn't exist if there weren’t kids! So there, another reason for why we should be payed! One more, if we were payed, then when we grow up to go to college, we will have enough money to get a good college. I think we shouldn’t get paid to go to school. We are getting education. The education we get is like the money. They are teaching us all this stuff, we arent the ones who should get paid they are. What are we even going to do with all that money? We are only kids. kids as they get older could have too much money and drop out of school. Why would we need to get paid? All we do is what we are supposed to do. We listen, ask questions, have fun, learn and more, yea we do a lot of stuff but thats our expectations. And thats why I think we shouldn’t get paid to go to school.
I was swimming one day at the Chaska Community Center then I realized our school P6GC should have a swimming pool. It would be a lot more efficient for the people in Shakopee. If we had a swimming pool the students might be able to use it during PE. I also think that if we had a swimming pool students might like PE more. When we had a swimming pool we would also be able to have fun with our friends without having to a Junior High only on Fridays. If people from the public were able to come swim then we could also swim with our families. To conclude I would like say Open Swimming on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays.
Yes I think our school should have a swimming pool so Because... We could have a swimming unit in gym, which kids would enjoy and kids who didn't know how to swim would learn. Also on week nights the school could charge people money to swim in the pool. On that note the school would make alought of $ to help out with school needs. Yes, I think we should have less homework. Students with a lot of homework could become stressed out. They could also force themselves to stay up late to finish their assignments and in the morning they’re very tired and it’s hard for them to concentrate. If we had less homework or more time to work on our assignments at school we wouldn’t have to stay up late trying to finish them and it would be easier to pay attention in class. And some kids may have after school activities or plans with friends/family and they would have to cancel them in order to finish their homework. That could make the student upset. They might stop caring about their grades because they’re tired of doing schoolwork. So, less homework, or more time to finish homework at school, could really help students.
I think that we should have less homework because I read about how homework can cause stress, depression, and low grades. I don’t think schools like children having lower grades than usual. This situation won’t help them when they have to start high school because their grades are suppose to help them get into college. So, if they don’t get good grades in high school, that won’t help them get into good colleges. Then, they won’t get good jobs and they won’t be successful. I don’t believe that most children want to be unsuccessful. I also believe that parents wouldn't be fond of this happening to their child(ren). So I feel, as a student myself, that we should have less homework.
I think that students should be paid for school because when you think about it they are actually the ones who do a lot of the work for the school. Some examples of this are: Student Council, Yearbook committee, and lots of other stuff that students do to help the school. In fact the school succeeds because we attend the school! If students get paid I believe that they will be motivated to come to school. Everyone knows that people like money especially those who pick the money up off the ground. Teachers will also be pleased because the students will all behave(not certain) since they are getting the money. The school in general will become a more fun environment. I don’t think we should have school uniforms. Because usually your clothes tell a lot about you and it shows what kind or type of person you are. You get to be different. You get to be creative. In schools that have uniforms, it’s not freedom. What I mean is you don’t get a choice. Plus everyone wears the same thing if you go to a school with uniforms, someone might mistake you for someone else which would be very embarrassing. In schools without uniforms, it’s bright and colorful, and in schools with uniforms it’s boring and plain.
I think we should get paid for school because it would be awesome! It would also be a good thing to do because some kids work very hard and we get a lot of homework so we should get rewarded. If we would get paid kids would love school even more and it would make them want to work even harder. Some negatives is that kids might cheat more often on tests or only go to school for the money. A way to prevent that would be that if kids get caught cheating the next time kids get paid the cheaters won’t get paid. They also wouldn’t get paid if the don’t focus or work hard. I think getting paid would awesome because it would help kids save up for things they need.
We should not get paid to go to school is because school is not a job, it is education. If we get paid it might be used for the wrong way such as wasting money on unnecessary items such as junk food, video games, etc. whereas parents spend money on necessary items most of the time(yes, I said MOST of the time). Also, if the country is in debt and we stop getting things from other countries then we have to pay the adults and the kids, and if the kids stop getting paid some might revolt and then they’ll destroy the schools then we also have to pay the damage done by the kids plus the debt plus the money given to the kids and adults. The only possible(realistic) way that might end is the destruction of the government. Nobody wants that right? If kids get paid the only way for them to get paid is for them to pay taxes to the government. Then again, that’s only if the government agrees to make a law like that. But it’s foolish. I think only 1 percent of the government would agree to this. We don’t have time for this nonsense. We already have problems in here like terrorism, security, making jobs because we didn't reach the number that the government expected the jobs to be made. If a president even THINKS about doing this, he’d better read this article and think again before paying kids. If we are smart, we will never pay kids for going to school.

If we have too much covered in all of the classes, we won’t be able to remember much stuff, which will lead to failing grades. 2. We might have things going on after school such as, Practices, Tournaments, Games, Relatives coming over, important things going on, plus we will get more time to spend with our family and friends. I think every student at pearson should have an iPad this year because it could help them on homework. It also could help them learn better and they could be more successful in life. It would also be better so we don't have to carry around textbooks, notebooks, and folders.Their locker would also be cleaner.The teachers in class won't have to teach as much because we would learn on our iPads. that would save money paying the teachers so we could actually buy the iPads and it would also save money buying supplies and textbooks. Yes we should have recess because, in spring and fall you can play kickball. In the winter you jump into the snow. People who are restless could burn off energy. 1. Yes I think we should have a shorter school day. Kids should be able to go home and do what they want for more time. School is too long. Some kids have lots of things to do when they get home, like sports or homework. Sometimes they end up not have any time to do what they want. Thats why I think that shorter school days will help. Kids will have time to do what they want even if they have lots of things going on in the evening. This might benefit everybody. Teachers have more time to grade things or do school stuff. Kids love having more time to maybe hang out with friends. I think that shorter school days would be a great thing.
Should we have recess? I say YES. I say this because in my opinion, we deserve to have the same rights as elementary, and we also need some more exercise (including for the people who don't have gym). If you have 60 min. of play(48 min. of gym+15 min recess) everyday, you will be healthy and active everyday. It will also give us 6th graders more time to think/have fun. We also would have free time to do homework (like an extra study hall). And that’s good!:)
I think that all students at pearson should have there own personal iPad because if we all had our own iPad it would be easier to write reports and do research. And it would be easier for teachers to give out worksheets because they would all be on the iPads. And it would be easier for students to access books to read. And work books for school. And when students are good they could play on the iPads for a little bit of time as a break from school. And there are many apps to help students learn and to help teachers teach lessons. And some of the apps could teach teamwork to the students with games like minecraft where students could help each other survive in a world of blocks. And the iPads could help plan and organize students schedules for the day. So all in all I think iPads should be in school for every student.
I think we should get less homework because a lot of the students have a lot of after school activities so it gets harder and harder to fit it in and finish it on time, and instead of getting late slips like last year or a reminder the students get a 0 which brings down their grade. Also many of our students here at Pearson get very stressed out. Like if they come to school with their homework not finished or they go home and they have tons of homework and a lot of activities planned they stay up late get it finished but then their whole day the next morning turns crappy. So I think for the students that are 6th graders and up should get homework cut down. As we get older even many of our assignments are really valued and important which when you have a lot of assignments gets very stressful . Some people I know have some much homework they think they have to cut down on some of their favorite activities to fit it in. It happened to me too, I had to cut down on some of my activities because there was also homework such as practicing which I couldn’t fit in. I know you guys are saying that we have study hall in the mornings and all of that but even though we have study hall and all of that there is a overload of homework in the higher grades such as high school. And those homework pieces and assignments in high school are so important for college and everything that kids stress themselves out way too much because they want to get good grades which sometimes could be so stressful that bad decisions at that time are made. Homework is very important though it helps you practice and understand the method, so I am not saying to totally take it off I am just saying that it could be trimmed down a bit!
Should girls be allowed to play baseball professionally? Yes because everyone has the right to do whatever they want. Also many girls could be good at basketball. I also think its not fair if girls can’t do everything that boys can do. It might also make our state look stronger if girls can play basketball professionally. Also if in Gym they teach us girls how to play why not just let girls play basketball professionally. All people have the right to do whatever they want so why not just let girls play basketball professionally it doesn't make any sense.

Should people eat healthier?Yes I think we should eat better because its not good to eat food with a lot of fat. Like Mrs. Obama put smaller portions of fries in McDonald's kids meals. Kids are getting fat because they are eating bad. But its there choice to eat fat food. But I think we should eat healthier. People should at least have one fruit a day. So im going to eat healthier and you should too.
I think that we should have recess because these kids don’t get enough exercise. Plus, what about the kids who don’t have gym? All they do is sit and listen to the teacher. In addition, There is a playground outside that never gets used! I wonder why that is? I think it is because so the teachers can brag that this middle school actually has a playground. I think people should stop abusing the animals because they never did anything to you. And they have the right to stay alive just like everyone else. Just think of you in that animals shoes you wouldn't like it if somebody was torturing you now would you. So i think people should really lay off the poor animals and find something better to do. Really i think people who do that are messed up in the head or either just dislike themselves. I think people who do that should think to themselves and say treat people or animals the way you want to be treated. So i say stop bullying animal and pick on something your size.
Should we get paid for school?-Yes because if we are going to have to wake up early and be tired and spend a whole day learning I think we should get paid and we work really hard.On the other side we are going to get tired of this.So if we get paid we know that if we want money we need to go to schools. like how there grades are is how much we get paid like ex:A=$50.00 A-=$40.00 B=$30.00 B+=$20.00 and anything below is $10.00 but F=$.50 ETC. so even if we have bad grade we still get paid.It will show responsibility to with money. But the money will be kept in a student safe of their own and at the end of the year the take the money home. It will help buy book for the class or from the book store. Also it will motivate the students to keep getting good grades!
I think we should get paid for school because it might motivate students to pay more attention in school. I also think it might get students to study more and get better grades. I think the amount of money you get should be decided on your grades you get at the end of the quarter. Example: A=$5 A-=$4.50 B+=$4.00 B= $3.50 Etc. And, if you get D+ and below, they take away ,money. Example: D+=-$1.00 D=-$2.00 D-=-$3.00 F+=-$4.00 Etc. But, I think there would be a problem about where the school would get the money. I think they should give the students with good grades the money that other students with bad grades got. I also think there would be a problem if everyone in the school got straight A’s. This is why I think students should get paid for school!!!
Yes, I think that we should have recess. I think we should have recess because, it is the time that we can use to get rid of our energy. Also, because, it is a time that us 6th graders to interact with other Explorer team members that we have never met. Plus, we can have the energy gone so it is easier to teach us because we will not be all hyper. Then we will be tired and we will try and pay attention in class so we don’t fall asleep. I think that we should get paid for school because we have to go to school for about more than nine months. We are there for about seven hours, five days a week. That’s about one hundred forty hours a month. That’s one thousand two hundred sixty hours in one whole school year!! All those hours in all twelve school years combined is a lot of hours! I get that school is for education and to learn new things but sometimes it makes us miserable and stresses us out. Think of what you could do with the money we would get paid and how many kids would be happy!
We should have less homework because some kids have been hoping for no homework some days, but still get some. This has happened to me a lot. We mostly get homework in math. For me that’s the easiest subject. But others think its harder. Some people think we should get more homework because they like school, I don’t. Just because they're smaller and can't fight back doesn't mean people can hurt them!! I think we should do more experiments/activities in school because we get to work together more rather than just having independent work time or just one partner. If we have more experiments we could learn and see it more clearer than just looking in the book. If we do more activities it could help our skill on working together and we could meet new people. Activities and experiments could maybe a reward to us if we earn it. Or have a new activity every week. If you do an experiment, they would need to find the material they need to use. Sometimes need to work on team building and you can’t get along that well.
People should stop abusing animals because animals have feelings too. I think that people think that animals have no feelings and that makes it right to treat them badly, but I disagree. I am against animal abuse and I really think people should think twice before abusing animals and think about how they would feel if they were the animal because they need to treat others the way they want to be treated. I would do anything to stop animal abuse because animals happen to typically like me and I get along with them very well. Also if people want to buy pets to treat them badly I would say you are wasting time and money. I also think that there should be a program where members regularly visit pet owners houses for a month and check to see if the animal is being treated well, if not, the program can make up some consequences for the pet owner. Honestly, to be very honest I think humans have less a right to live on Earth and animals have more a right because animals make Earth a better place to live and actually are friendly to the environment than humans are which is just a SLAP IN THE FACE.
Should we get paid for school? I think we should get paid for school because school is very boring and is sometimes annoying. Since adults get paid for work we should get paid for school too. I think we should at least get $100 for every hour every day of the week we have school. Its to much work to wake up early just to go to school. I rather spend time sleeping in the morning or watching tv. In the afternoon my parents go to many places i want to go with. we should get paid $25 for every test or quiz we take.
We should have a shorter day of school because Mondays through Fridays kids have such a short time at home to do anything. School takes up about half of the day and when kids get home they have to do a bunch of homework. In addition kids deserve less hours of school because they get homework everyday and kids need to do other productive things besides stay in school half the day. Plus school takes up about the whole week. The only days kids get where they don't have to go to school is Saturday and Sunday thats only 2 days. School should at least 4-5 hour, the whole morning. Then they can have the whole afternoon to do other things.

In my opinion we should have our own swimming pool cause, in 7th or 8th grade we have to go swimming so i think we should get ready for 7th and 8th grade. Also we can have more exercise more with are arm and our body. Also we might need to expand our school so we can have room for the pool. Also the kids will have more fun in the school thats my opinion. And that if people don't know how to swim, the gym teachers can. And i think people will have fun playing beach ball in the pool. But there are something bad about it.we are going to need a changing room after when we're done swimming and we are going to need to get swimming stuff for it too.

I think girls can do anything that boys can. All boys think girls can't do professinal things like them but we are more than capable then playing something boys get to play. Some girls really have a passion for sports and they just have to stop after college (unless they play in the olympics).But not all girls get the chance to move on to the olympics. I personally would like to keep active and play sports when Im older. It would be something for me to do besides sit around all day and watch TV. It would also be something fun for us girls to do. Many moms want to stay healthy but all they can do is go to the gym when dads could be playing in the professional league.I would like to be able to say that I did what a boy did and played professional baseball because i can do anything that a boy can do. If a girl is good enough to play in a professional baseball team then they should be allowed to. Not all boys are stronger and/or faster than girls. Well I think that we should do more experiments and activities in school because well some people think that doing activities is more fun and they learn better doing experiments and activities.While some other people think that we should not do experiments because they pay more attention to what he or she is talking about. Yes we should have recess because,the students need their exercise to stay active and not be overweight. Also kids get to hang out with each other and get to know each other. I think we should have shorter days because then we can spend more time with our family and friends outside of the schol. another reason is because then we can get some outside time since I like to be outside being active. And it could help teachers get prepared for the upcoming day. 1. Should we get paid for school? I think we should get paid to go to school. We work hard to do the job we need to do. And we have to buy supplies for something we need. And we should be rewarded with that. And i believe school is just like a job. We need school to have a job. And to have a job you get money for working hard. And we work hard. So we should get money. In my opinion i think we should get paid to go to school.
It would be nice to get paid for school, but to me, that is a waste of money, because we need to go to school to learn new things, even if we don’t enjoy it. If every single kid that is going to school gets some money for going, it would waste money that we might need in the future, in case something catastrophic happens where our money may start to run out, and giving away money for going to school would take away even more money we may need. Being paid for going to school may be nice, and possibly could attract some people that are home-schooled, or quit school, to come, or persuade kids that are failing to do better, or even make people just come to school, and slack off, but still get money. Besides, school is not work, we don’t do hard jobs or heavy lifting in school, we just sit and listen to our teacher, and write some. School is for learning new things in our life to be more intelligent and make good choices. Even though we have a bunch of money in the government and all, it still is a big waste of money to pay kids for sitting and learning.
I think people should stop animal abuse. I think you should should get a warning the first time you're caught and then a fine. After that you should go to court to see if you should go to jail. I think animals should be protected not harmed. People sometimes just take a look at animals and judge them right away. Their like humans in a way they have feelings and they get scared. They can't do much on their own so they need our help to protect them and care for them. When i'm older I wanna save as many animals as i can.

Yes, I believe that we should get paid for school because it is taking up our time. Also its something many kids don’t want to do. We could just get paid for doing normal jobs like cooking at restaurants and other things like adults and also it would be a way for most kids to get money.Its like a job we don’t get paid for.
Yes, i think girls should be able to play professional baseball. Because girls have the right to play whatever sport they want.I also think that girls should not be judged on their gender. I don't think girls should be jugded by their skills. Like some boys judge girls by how fast or strong they are.I also think that girls should be able to do whatever boys can do. So i want to prove boys wrong.
In my opinion I think we should have shorter school days because we really wouldn’t need the classes like P.E, Art, And PLTW those classes help but aren’t very useful that would save us a lot of time.Since art class you can have as an after school class and as well as the other classes for the people who actually cared about those classes. With that taken of the the schedule 45min of time would be saved. I think this would help getting more stuff done at home. I hope people will be satisfied with this change. I also think we should have recess for 15min to help our physical education more and replace P.E a bit.I bet this is a great idea and will help our schools be a better place.
I think we should get paid for school because students go to school monday-friday every week and get mostly homework everyday,and we work hard getting work done. We should get paid every week think we should get paid based on our grades to,heres a chart to show what i would do,A=$10..B=$8.C=5 d=$3..F=$1.50…..like this a student will get to pick four of their grades Example: if a student got three a they could pick them and get 30 dollars but in order for kids to have money we will instead of giving it to them send it through the mail so the student won't lose it or it won't get stolen.It might be an advantage to parent to if a students family is poor or needs to pay a bill the parents could borrow money from the student to pay a bills.
I think we should get paid for school. Because they are making us go to school sometimes unwillingly. Its like forcing someone to do a job like communism. I agree we should learn by online uses but not to force someone to go to a property where bullying happens unless you can stay home and not get bullied. So when we go to school we can get paid 5 dollars a day 35 dollars a week . and if we dont go to school there is always online and sure there is the total disruption of the economy . there is always time to raise the money by like 50 cents on products. its not like we get 5 million dollars a day . Plus we will block cyberbullying.
Yes we should because we will have more time to talk to our friends. Plus we could get done with homework on time and there's not a lot of homework. Kind of like a study hall that you can study and do other stuff. That way people would have time to be on their phones. So they dont have to play on it in class they will have more learning and less secret phone time.Maybe they're moving away and you can't talk to them with phones. so their parents wont get mad from their phone gettingtook away.
Yes we should have recess because we can take a break from study and take a break too. We can sit down and relax from school work a bit or play with our friends that we can’t hang out with a lot at school or see each other a lot. We can do a lot of stuff during recess that when were in school that we can’t like yelling, running around crazy, and a bunch more. And teachers can take a break before they teach us again or take a lunch break during when we have recess or do something else then teaching us for a bit so we can refresh our minds. When we have recess we all can play games, run around, play tag or something, basketball, or just slide down the slides or do monkey bars. We all can do a lot of stuff when we all have recess that we can’t do when we're studying or doing work or homework. We have to concentrate on what we are doing and try our best on it and try to finish it if we can when we still have time so we don’t have homework at home and that we can play something or do something else.

ya because it helps peoples body stay fit and skinny .it also helps with aerobics. it gives you skills and its fun to play with and it teachers you how to float in water.and it lets people show off there bathing suits.you get to hang out with your friends.it gives you muscles and abs.it lets people and teachers wtch us easier.works out your muscles.
I think we should have less homework, because sometimes we have to do our homework instead of family things. Also the time when the homework should be due should be at least two days after it is assigned, because sometimes we have things that we can't miss after school so we end up with late homework. Study hall should also be longer so we don't have to worry about homework. The worksheets that sometimes are handed out should also be shorter. The worksheets time when its due should be shorter too. Study hall should be at the end of the day too. Study hall should also be longer. That is my opinion about how much homework we should get.
We should have less homework because students, well almost every student doesn't want homework over the weekend or just any day in general. Mostly every student in Pearson has extra curricular activities like dance, baseball and so on, and if you have those activities you may not get your homework done and that will affect your grade and thats not very fair to the kids that have anything else to do. I think teachers would think about the students and how much they have to do every night instead of doing review of the lessons that they taught us .Students want to get away from the stress of oh no i didn't do my homework im in trouble!!! how do i explain this to Mr.Dahle?!?!?!?!?! We should have recess because we should get to go out and play and take a break from working. We can get all cooped up in the room we will get bored and not pay attention in class so we wouldn’t know what we are doing and not get good grades. So we wouldn’t focus, and when we would go outside we just get a break from everything and be able to relax. It’s good so we can strech instead of sitting on a chair all day and we need exercise so we are healthy and fit. I don’t think being cooped up in a room not moving much is healthy. Recess is fun and when you are in class you can’t talk to your friends much and play around, but then when we get recess we can talk and fool around as much as we want to. It’s fun and kids really need recess, it’s healthy because it gives you exercise, it’s also good so you get a break, so you aren’t cooped up. Once you go outside it also drains off your energy so you won’t be so talkative and jittery in class, so you don’t interrupt the teacher.
I think that recess should be in school days if the class i s quiet it can go out and have so fun/ in the summer. the students work so much that we get tired that we can’t work any more so we need some play time. The students have to work so much math, science, l.a, reading, s.s, and almost every teacher gives homework. For some students think that freetime is good. Recess will in advisory. In gym will be better because then all the activities in gym will be done for the summer.So that is my conclution for recess.
I think we should have recess because…… It would give students the chance to have a break from working hard on homework, and studying for tests. It would give us time to not worry about school. you know that really hyper kid in your math class well this is for him. we would get a chance to burn off any extra energy we had. For the kids who don't have gym they would be able to play outside. It would give kids the opportunity to make more friends. That is why I think we should have recess.
I think we should have less homework because, most kids at P6GC have after school activities and have limited time to do homework. Also most kids have early bedtimes therefore limiting time to do homework. And sometime kids decide not to do homework simply because they think they have to much of it and get stressed out. Being stressed out has very many negative effects on the human body. Some teachers at P6GC like giving kids lots of homework which can cause stress, going to sleep at 11:04 P.M, and even ditching school!!! The amount of homework kids receive is very important to most kids. I hope you are aware about how much homework affects kids and I hope you will join the fight to lower homework amounts!
Should we have recess? I say YES. I say this because in my opinion, we deserve to have the same rights as elementary, and we also need some more exercise (including for the people who don't have gym). If you have 60 min. of play(48 min. of gym+15 min recess) everyday, you will be healthy and active everyday. It will also give us 6th graders more time to think/have fun. We also would have free time to do homework (like an extra study hall). It would give teachers also some more time to correct tests, get fresh air, or even hang out with other teachers. Kids will get fresh air and come back inside refreshed, active, and ready to learn! And that’s good!:)
We should get paid in schools because if the teachers put a vending machine in the school the students wouldn’t have to take parents money. So if kids ask their parents for money they will run out of money. If their parents don't have jobs. The parents will turn on each other. If they turn on each other they get lost. Parents that get lost they live in the jungle. Then they find an abandoned mansion.
Q: Should people recycle more? A: Of course they should! I keep finding trash and crushed Mt. Dew bottles all over my street! It's GROSS. Somebody should make cars that fuel on recyclables and even trash. We would stop polluting the world if people put their recyclables in the recycling bin. I mean, unless you're stranded in the desert, I doubt that there are no recycling bins anywhere near you. It's dangerous to the animals too. They can eat some recyclables you just so happened left behind.
Junk food junk food junk food its everywhere. Everyone needs to stop eating junk food and start eating healthy. Think about your health think about you family think about everything you love because junk food can make you lose all the the things you love.It can be so addicting but its also dangerous. It can cause - Type 2 diabetes -Death -Cavities -Lack of energy -Metabolism under stress -Health problems and etc. We should all make a change to the world and start eating healthy.But lets not change the world to much because at some point we all need a treat to get that sweet taste.So that's my opinion but whats yours?
We should do more activities/experiments in school. Activities can allow for people to work together. For example people can work together when playing a review game for a test. Some people learn best from doing experiments and activities in class. Activities and experiments can also be very fun. One experiment that I did that was fun was called elephant’s toothpaste and it was very cool. Few activities are not very fun but some people like them. That is why we should do more activities and experiments in class.
I think we should have shorter school days because we get tired all day long and by afternoon we’re out of it. I also think we should have shorter school days because we have other activities and they give us all this homework that takes time to do when we have hardly any time to do it because we have a lot of sports and other activities. If we had shorter school days we would have plenty of time to do it without being in a rush. If they are going to have full school days then i think we should be able to have one half of the day be a learning time and the other half be fun time. I think that would give us more time to hang out with our friends. I also think we should have shorter school days because some of the subjects we can teach ourselves. Study Hall, Gym, and Lunch we can all teach ourselves so that cuts off half the day right there! Thats why I think we should have shorter school days.

One reason is that people express themselves using how they look.(Random pi π) For example, if someone is wearing a baseball shirt, you can infer about them that they probably like baseball. Another example is if you like to wear fancy clothes people can infer that they are probably a sophisticated person. Another reason we should not have school uniforms is because people can be distinguished by the clothes they wear. For example, if you know someone that likes to shop at, say, Justice, then you can tell who they are if they wear the same types of shirts every day. Another reason is that i like to read the funny things on people’s shirts, just to get a good laugh or seeing what they’re into, or even finding our city on a shirt for a concert or event. Over all, clothes express who we are, and it’s very very difficult to express ourselves if we all look the same. You are unique, just like everybody else ♥

Most of the time the only work that we really have to do is homework and studying for tests. Learning is a privilege, and a lot of the time learning can be fun! Finally, to conclude my answer, children do not have to pay bills, or food, so we do not need to be paid for going to school, because we just simply do not deserve it. Work does not sound like much fun to me, when I get older. So, i will enjoy school, and be responsible with my things and get payed by doing chores, rather than just having to go to school to get paid. That is just way to easy, and we would all become rich.
ReplyDeleteGas stations should stop selling energy drinks because caffeine is not very good to kids (mostly my age). I yesterday I drank a cappuccino bubbletea (smoothie with tapioca pearls) and drank a cup of pop. I couldn't sleep until 11:40 P.M. because I was very jittery (shaking uncontrollably and restless). I guess it was kind of awkward because I scared everyone in my house because I was walking around like an old man. Caffeine is alright when its just a little, but the amount of caffeine I consumed was a little too much. If gas stations keep selling energy drinks, the kids drinking them might get addicted to the drink, therefore making them go through what I went through. Energy drinks (caffeine) is/are unhealthy to kids, because they are more vulnerable than adults are. I don’t want kids my age to go through what I went through because it was a little scary, so gas stations should stop selling energy drinks to kids.

ReplyDeleteYes, woman should be allowed to play baseball professionally! I think it’s very unfair that girls hardly have any “Major League” sports, besides basketball. It would be even better if there was a professional softball league, because that’s what most girls play, rather than baseball. A lot of people who I have played softball with think it’s unfair, like I do, that men/boys get to have a major league and such, for football, baseball, basketball, E.T.C and girls don’t (with the exception of basketball, of course). I mean, being a softball player myself, I know how much work and effort we all put into this sport. Even girls who play baseball, I’m sure, know and do. I think it’d be nice for girls to be able to play a wider variety of sports for a living. Girls are just as good as boys are, aren’t they? So, I think it’s a really good goal to have, is to get girls to be able to play baseball professionally, or get their very own league to play in. :)

If we had iPads then kids would be more enthusiastic to learning, because kids like working with iPads. iPads also have many apps that can help the kids learn. If we bought iPads it would cost a lot of money, but we wouldn’t have to use textbooks or homework on paper. I pads are also easy to monitor. The students would have a sense of trust , because you trusted them upon iPads.
We should never have to wear school uniforms! Clothes that you chose to wear let you express your self. I feel like with neon colored clothing you can show that you are happy and like to have a nice splash of color. Also it nice to not to always look like everyone else, with clothes of your choice you can show more of who you are. You really get to show who you are also when you wear something to support your favorite sports team. Also I bet most people likes to read shirts that say funny things on them like “Stop homework save the trees!” Also uniforms are usually not colorful most of the time there just beige.

One reason I will say is that it is motivation to get you to come to school. Also, we do so much work and we come home tired and we have to do what? Homework! It’s amazing, and worst of all we don't get payed, yet. One question is though, would there be school if students did not attend? School wouldn't exist if there weren’t kids! So there, another reason for why we should be payed! One more, if we were payed, then when we grow up to go to college, we will have enough money to get a good college. Plus, the school will become famous all over the globe, known for the school that gives students money!! Students might even behave better knowing that at the end of every hour they’ll get paid almost 5-15 dollars. So kids will be happy! I am pretty sure that’s what teachers want right? So when kids go home with their newly made 70-100 dollars, and make their parents cry! So how about it, this is the perfect way to help you students! Let Pearson become the first in the school!

They are teaching us all this stuff, we arent the ones who should get paid they are. What are we even going to do with all that money? We are only kids. kids as they get older could have too much money and drop out of school. Why would we need to get paid? All we do is what we are supposed to do. We listen, ask questions, have fun, learn and more, yea we do a lot of stuff but thats our expectations. And thats why I think we shouldn’t get paid to go to school.
ReplyDeleteI was swimming one day at the Chaska Community Center then I realized our school P6GC should have a swimming pool. It would be a lot more efficient for the people in Shakopee. If we had a swimming pool the students might be able to use it during PE. I also think that if we had a swimming pool students might like PE more. When we had a swimming pool we would also be able to have fun with our friends without having to a Junior High only on Fridays. If people from the public were able to come swim then we could also swim with our families. To conclude I would like say Open Swimming on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays.

On that note the school would make alought of $ to help out with school needs. Such as Ipads, band instruments and other band needs,science experiments ect. Other nights 6th grade swimmers could practice here. And finally if the pool got really popular there might be some swim meets held here at P6GC.
Yes, I think we should have less homework. Students with a lot of homework could become stressed out. They could also force themselves to stay up late to finish their assignments and in the morning they’re very tired and it’s hard for them to concentrate. If we had less homework or more time to work on our assignments at school we wouldn’t have to stay up late trying to finish them and it would be easier to pay attention in class. And some kids may have after school activities or plans with friends/family and they would have to cancel them in order to finish their homework. That could make the student upset. They might stop caring about their grades because they’re tired of doing schoolwork. So, less homework, or more time to finish homework at school, could really help students.
ReplyDeleteI think that we should have less homework because I read about how homework can cause stress, depression, and low grades. I don’t think schools like children having lower grades than usual. This situation won’t help them when they have to start high school because their grades are suppose to help them get into college. So, if they don’t get good grades in high school, that won’t help them get into good colleges. Then, they won’t get good jobs and they won’t be successful. I don’t believe that most children want to be unsuccessful. I also believe that parents wouldn't be fond of this happening to their child(ren). So I feel, as a student myself, that we should have less homework.

Some examples of this are: Student Council, Yearbook committee, and lots of other stuff that students do to help the school. In fact the school succeeds because we attend the school! If students get paid I believe that they will be motivated to come to school. Everyone knows that people like money especially those who pick the money up off the ground. Teachers will also be pleased because the students will all behave(not certain) since they are getting the money. The school in general will become a more fun environment. Students will all of a sudden have so much money that they won’t have to go to school anymore! Oh, sorry I forgot to tell you the price they should pay. Roughly about $15/hour. This will only affect parent’s taxes by a +14%. But in the end it doesn’t matter because the money will be coming back to the parents right? So thanks for reading and goodbye!
ReplyDeleteI don’t think we should have school uniforms. Because usually your clothes tell a lot about you and it shows what kind or type of person you are. You get to be different. You get to be creative. In schools that have uniforms, it’s not freedom. What I mean is you don’t get a choice. Plus everyone wears the same thing if you go to a school with uniforms, someone might mistake you for someone else which would be very embarrassing. In schools without uniforms, it’s bright and colorful, and in schools with uniforms it’s boring and plain.

If we would get paid kids would love school even more and it would make them want to work even harder. Some negatives is that kids might cheat more often on tests or only go to school for the money. A way to prevent that would be that if kids get caught cheating the next time kids get paid the cheaters won’t get paid. They also wouldn’t get paid if the don’t focus or work hard. I think getting paid would awesome because it would help kids save up for things they need.

If we get paid it might be used for the wrong way such as wasting money on unnecessary items such as junk food, video games, etc. whereas parents spend money on necessary items most of the time(yes, I said MOST of the time). Also, if the country is in debt and we stop getting things from other countries then we have to pay the adults and the kids, and if the kids stop getting paid some might revolt and then they’ll destroy the schools then we also have to pay the damage done by the kids plus the debt plus the money given to the kids and adults. The only possible(realistic) way that might end is the destruction of the government. Nobody wants that right? If kids get paid the only way for them to get paid is for them to pay taxes to the government. Then again, that’s only if the government agrees to make a law like that. But it’s foolish. I think only 1 percent of the government would agree to this. We don’t have time for this nonsense. We already have problems in here like terrorism, security, making jobs because we didn't reach the number that the government expected the jobs to be made. If a president even THINKS about doing this, he’d better read this article and think again before paying kids. If we are smart, we will never pay kids for going to school.

2. We might have things going on after school such as, Practices, Tournaments, Games, Relatives coming over, important things going on, plus we will get more time to spend with our family and friends. (Rules apply to teachers too)
3. If we are gone on a vacation, we won’t miss as much school, so we won’t be late on stuff. Results from typical time, go to failing grades.
4. If we have less school time, we will get more time to spend outside and be active and hang with our friends. This results in healthy lifestyle and longer friendship bonds.
5. If we don’t have longer school, we end up not having much homework.
And this is just some ideas for a shorter school time.
I think every student at pearson should have an iPad this year because it could help them on homework. It also could help them learn better and they could be more successful in life. It would also be better so we don't have to carry around textbooks, notebooks, and folders.Their locker would also be cleaner.The teachers in class won't have to teach as much because we would learn on our iPads. that would save money paying the teachers so we could actually buy the iPads and it would also save money buying supplies and textbooks. Thats why iPads would help Pearson.

ReplyDeleteI think that all students at pearson should have there own personal iPad because if we all had our own iPad it would be easier to write reports and do research. And it would be easier for teachers to give out worksheets because they would all be on the iPads. And it would be easier for students to access books to read. And work books for school. And when students are good they could play on the iPads for a little bit of time as a break from school. And there are many apps to help students learn and to help teachers teach lessons. And some of the apps could teach teamwork to the students with games like minecraft where students could help each other survive in a world of blocks. And the iPads could help plan and organize students schedules for the day. So all in all I think iPads should be in school for every student.
ReplyDeleteI think we should get less homework because a lot of the students have a lot of after school activities so it gets harder and harder to fit it in and finish it on time, and instead of getting late slips like last year or a reminder the students get a 0 which brings down their grade. Also many of our students here at Pearson get very stressed out. Like if they come to school with their homework not finished or they go home and they have tons of homework and a lot of activities planned they stay up late get it finished but then their whole day the next morning turns crappy. So I think for the students that are 6th graders and up should get homework cut down. As we get older even many of our assignments are really valued and important which when you have a lot of assignments gets very stressful . Some people I know have some much homework they think they have to cut down on some of their favorite activities to fit it in. It happened to me too, I had to cut down on some of my activities because there was also homework such as practicing which I couldn’t fit in. I know you guys are saying that we have study hall in the mornings and all of that but even though we have study hall and all of that there is a overload of homework in the higher grades such as high school. And those homework pieces and assignments in high school are so important for college and everything that kids stress themselves out way too much because they want to get good grades which sometimes could be so stressful that bad decisions at that time are made. Homework is very important though it helps you practice and understand the method, so I am not saying to totally take it off I am just saying that it could be trimmed down a bit!

ReplyDeleteYes because everyone has the right to do whatever they want. Also many girls could be good at basketball. I also think its not fair if girls can’t do everything that boys can do. It might also make our state look stronger if girls can play basketball professionally. Also if in Gym they teach us girls how to play why not just let girls play basketball professionally. All people have the right to do whatever they want so why not just let girls play basketball professionally it doesn't make any sense.
I think that we should get paid for school because its taking time out of our day for learning, like when are we going to use this stuff in life, if we got paid i think everyone would want to go to school , People would probably like school more and can’t wait for school to open , getting paid would infowise kids to get an education , the adults would get jealous and want to go back to school , the kids would be nicer to other kids because we get what we want , the people who don’t want to go to school would like at least 1 or 2 things about school, and all the kids would be happy again!!!!!!!

Kids are getting fat because they are eating bad. But its there choice to eat fat food. But I think we should eat healthier. People should at least have one fruit a day. In addition, There is a playground outside that never gets used! I wonder why that is? I think it is because so the teachers can brag that this middle school actually has a playground. Just think of you in that animals shoes you wouldn't like it if somebody was torturing you now would you. So i think people should really lay off the poor animals and find something better to do. ReplyDeleteShould we get paid for school?-Yes because if we are going to have to wake up early and be tired and spend a whole day learning I think we should get paid and we work really hard.On the other side we are going to get tired of this.So if we get paid we know that if we want money we need to go to schools. like how there grades are is how much we get paid like ex:A=$50.00 A-=$40.00 B=$30.00 B+=$20.00 and anything below is $10.00 but F=$.50 ETC. so even if we have bad grade we still get paid.It will show responsibility to with money. But the money will be kept in a student safe of their own and at the end of the year the take the money home. It will help buy book for the class or from the book store. Also it will motivate the students to keep getting good grades!

I think the amount of money you get should be decided on your grades you get at the end of the quarter. Example: A=$5 A-=$4.50 B+=$4.00 B= $3.50 Etc. And, if you get D+ and below, they take away ,money. Example: D+=-$1.00 D=-$2.00 D-=-$3.00 F+=-$4.00 Etc. But, I think there would be a problem about where the school would get the money. I think they should give the students with good grades the money that other students with bad grades got. I also think there would be a problem if everyone in the school got straight A’s. This is why I think students should get paid for school!!!
ReplyDeleteYes, I think that we should have recess. I think we should have recess because, it is the time that we can use to get rid of our energy. Also, because, it is a time that us 6th graders to interact with other Explorer team members that we have never met. Plus, we can have the energy gone so it is easier to teach us because we will not be all hyper. Then we will be tired and we will try and pay attention in class so we don’t fall asleep. It also might help with team building activities. We would get our exercise other than gym if we had it at the time.

I think that we should get paid for school because we have to go to school for about more than nine months. We are there for about seven hours, five days a week. That’s about one hundred forty hours a month. That’s one thousand two hundred sixty hours in one whole school year!! All those hours in all twelve school years combined is a lot of hours! I get that school is for education and to learn new things but sometimes it makes us miserable and stresses us out. Think of what you could do with the money we would get paid and how many kids would be happy!

For me that’s the easiest subject. But others think its harder. Some people think we should get more homework because they like school, I don’t. Just because they're smaller and can't fight back doesn't mean people can hurt them!! They have feeling you know like a cat for example they hiss when they're angry which shows that they have feelings. Say if an person came home from work and had a long day and was angry so they take it out on their animal. If they an dog they would grab them and abuse them. Was it the dog fault they had a bad day? No it is never the animals fault and it is NEVER okay to abuse an animal its NEVER!!! But thats just my opinion some sick and crazy people think its okay.
ReplyDeleteI think we should do more experiments/activities in school because we get to work together more rather than just having independent work time or just one partner. If we have more experiments we could learn and see it more clearer than just looking in the book. If we do more activities it could help our skill on working together and we could meet new people. Activities and experiments could maybe a reward to us if we earn it. Or have a new activity every week. If you do an experiment, they would need to find the material they need to use. Sometimes need to work on team building and you can’t get along that well.

I am against animal abuse and I really think people should think twice before abusing animals and think about how they would feel if they were the animal because they need to treat others the way they want to be treated. I would do anything to stop animal abuse because animals happen to typically like me and I get along with them very well. Also if people want to buy pets to treat them badly I would say you are wasting time and money. I also think that there should be a program where members regularly visit pet owners houses for a month and check to see if the animal is being treated well, if not, the program can make up some consequences for the pet owner. Honestly, to be very honest I think humans have less a right to live on Earth and animals have more a right because animals make Earth a better place to live and actually are friendly to the environment than humans are which is just a SLAP IN THE FACE.

ReplyDeleteI think we should get paid for school because school is very boring and is sometimes annoying. Since adults get paid for work we should get paid for school too. I think we should at least get $100 for every hour every day of the week we have school. Its to much work to wake up early just to go to school. I rather spend time sleeping in the morning or watching tv. In the afternoon my parents go to many places i want to go with. we should get paid $25 for every test or quiz we take.
We should have a shorter day of school because Mondays through Fridays kids have such a short time at home to do anything. School takes up about half of the day and when kids get home they have to do a bunch of homework. In addition kids deserve less hours of school because they get homework everyday and kids need to do other productive things besides stay in school half the day. Plus school takes up about the whole week. The only days kids get where they don't have to go to school is Saturday and Sunday thats only 2 days. School should at least 4-5 hour, the whole morning. Then they can have the whole afternoon to do other things.

ReplyDeleteIn my opinion we should have our own swimming pool cause, in 7th or 8th grade we have to go swimming so i think we should get ready for 7th and 8th grade. Also we can have more exercise more with are arm and our body. Also we might need to expand our school so we can have room for the pool. Also the kids will have more fun in the school thats my opinion. And that if people don't know how to swim, the gym teachers can. And i think people will have fun playing beach ball in the pool. But there are something bad about it.we are going to need a changing room after when we're done swimming and we are going to need to get swimming stuff for it too.

I think girls can do anything that boys can. All boys think girls can't do professinal things like them but we are more than capable then playing something boys get to play. Some girls really have a passion for sports and they just have to stop after college (unless they play in the olympics).But not all girls get the chance to move on to the olympics. I personally would like to keep active and play sports when Im older. It would be something for me to do besides sit around all day and watch TV. It would also be something fun for us girls to do. Many moms want to stay healthy but all they can do is go to the gym when dads could be playing in the professional league.I would like to be able to say that I did what a boy did and played professional baseball because i can do anything that a boy can do. If a girl is good enough to play in a professional baseball team then they should be allowed to. Not all boys are stronger and/or faster than girls. Plus we don’t get time to get to know anyone while in gym because kids are doing so many things at once so they can’t see really anyone. we only get gym for about 40 minutes because of the 5 minute delay before class to take attendance.During gym we have fun during the whole time.We don't even get paid to do homework or anything,at least give us a penny? And we should be rewarded with that. And i believe school is just like a job. We need school to have a job. And to have a job you get money for working hard. And we work hard. So we should get money. In my opinion i think we should get paid to go to school.
It would be nice to get paid for school, but to me, that is a waste of money, because we need to go to school to learn new things, even if we don’t enjoy it. If every single kid that is going to school gets some money for going, it would waste money that we might need in the future, in case something catastrophic happens where our money may start to run out, and giving away money for going to school would take away even more money we may need. Being paid for going to school may be nice, and possibly could attract some people that are home-schooled, or quit school, to come, or persuade kids that are failing to do better, or even make people just come to school, and slack off, but still get money. Besides, school is not work, we don’t do hard jobs or heavy lifting in school, we just sit and listen to our teacher, and write some. School is for learning new things in our life to be more intelligent and make good choices. Even though we have a bunch of money in the government and all, it still is a big waste of money to pay kids for sitting and learning.

After that you should go to court to see if you should go to jail. I think animals should be protected not harmed. People sometimes just take a look at animals and judge them right away. Their like humans in a way they have feelings and they get scared. They can't do much on their own so they need our help to protect them and care for them. When i'm older I wanna save as many animals as i can.
Yes! Because sometimes student need some spark to the class like have an food experiment! Or maybe more field trips for learning only like the museum in Minneapolis where we go learn about electricity! There could learn and have fun at the same time! ReplyDeleteIn my opinion I think we should have shorter school days because we really wouldn’t need the classes like P.E, Art, And PLTW those classes help but aren’t very useful that would save us a lot of time.Since art class you can have as an after school class and as well as the other classes for the people who actually cared about those classes. With that taken of the the schedule 45min of time would be saved. I think this would help getting more stuff done at home. I hope people will be satisfied with this change. I also think we should have recess for 15min to help our physical education more and replace P.E a bit.I bet this is a great idea and will help our schools be a better place.
I think we should get paid for school because students go to school monday-friday every week and get mostly homework everyday,and we work hard getting work done. We should get paid every week think we should get paid based on our grades to,heres a chart to show what i would do,A=$10..B=$8.C=5 d=$3..F=$1.50…..like this a student will get to pick four of their grades Example: if a student got three a they could pick them and get 30 dollars but in order for kids to have money we will instead of giving it to them send it through the mail so the student won't lose it or it won't get stolen.It might be an advantage to parent to if a students family is poor or needs to pay a bill the parents could borrow money from the student to pay a bills.

I agree we should learn by online uses but not to force someone to go to a property where bullying happens unless you can stay home and not get bullied. So when we go to school we can get paid 5 dollars a day 35 dollars a week . and if we dont go to school there is always online and sure there is the total disruption of the economy . there is always time to raise the money by like 50 cents on products. its not like we get 5 million dollars a day . Plus we will block cyberbullying.

That way people would have time to be on their phones. Yes we should have recess because we can take a break from study and take a break too. We can sit down and relax from school work a bit or play with our friends that we can’t hang out with a lot at school or see each other a lot. We can do a lot of stuff during recess that when were in school that we can’t like yelling, running around crazy, and a bunch more. And teachers can take a break before they teach us again or take a lunch break during when we have recess or do something else then teaching us for a bit so we can refresh our minds. When we have recess we all can play games, run around, play tag or something, basketball, or just slide down the slides or do monkey bars. We all can do a lot of stuff when we all have recess that we can’t do when we're studying or doing work or homework. We have to concentrate on what we are doing and try our best on it and try to finish it if we can when we still have time so we don’t have homework at home and that we can play something or do something else.

I think we should have less homework, because sometimes we have to do our homework instead of family things. Also the time when the homework should be due should be at least two days after it is assigned, because sometimes we have things that we can't miss after school so we end up with late homework. Study hall should also be longer so we don't have to worry about homework. The worksheets that sometimes are handed out should also be shorter. The worksheets time when its due should be shorter too. Study hall should be at the end of the day too. Study hall should also be longer. That is my opinion about how much homework we should get.

Mostly every student in Pearson has extra curricular activities like dance, baseball and so on, and if you have those activities you may not get your homework done and that will affect your grade and thats not very fair to the kids that have anything else to do. I think teachers would think about the students and how much they have to do every night instead of doing review of the lessons that they taught us .Students want to get away from the stress of oh no i didn't do my homework im in trouble!!! how do i explain this to Mr.Dahle?!?!?!?!?! ReplyDeleteWe should have recess because we should get to go out and play and take a break from working. We can get all cooped up in the room we will get bored and not pay attention in class so we wouldn’t know what we are doing and not get good grades. So we wouldn’t focus, and when we would go outside we just get a break from everything and be able to relax. It’s good so we can strech instead of sitting on a chair all day and we need exercise so we are healthy and fit. I don’t think being cooped up in a room not moving much is healthy. Recess is fun and when you are in class you can’t talk to your friends much and play around, but then when we get recess we can talk and fool around as much as we want to. It’s fun and kids really need recess, it’s healthy because it gives you exercise, it’s also good so you get a break, so you aren’t cooped up. Once you go outside it also drains off your energy so you won’t be so talkative and jittery in class, so you don’t interrupt the teacher.

I think that recess should be in school days if the class i s quiet it can go out and have so fun/ in the summer. the students work so much that we get tired that we can’t work any more so we need some play time. The students have to work so much math, science, l.a, reading, s.s, and almost every teacher gives homework. For some students think that freetime is good. Recess will in advisory. In gym will be better because then all the activities in gym will be done for the summer.So that is my conclution for recess.

It would give us time to not worry about school. you know that really hyper kid in your math class well this is for him. we would get a chance to burn off any extra energy we had. For the kids who don't have gym they would be able to play outside. It would give kids the opportunity to make more friends. That is why I think we should have recess.
I think we should have less homework because, most kids at P6GC have after school activities and have limited time to do homework. Also most kids have early bedtimes therefore limiting time to do homework. And sometime kids decide not to do homework simply because they think they have to much of it and get stressed out. Being stressed out has very many negative effects on the human body. Some teachers at P6GC like giving kids lots of homework which can cause stress, going to sleep at 11:04 P.M, and even ditching school!!! The amount of homework kids receive is very important to most kids. I hope you are aware about how much homework affects kids and I hope you will join the fight to lower homework amounts!

I say this because in my opinion, we deserve to have the same rights as elementary, and we also need some more exercise (including for the people who don't have gym). If you have 60 min. of play(48 min. of gym+15 min recess) everyday, you will be healthy and active everyday. It will also give us 6th graders more time to think/have fun. We also would have free time to do homework (like an extra study hall). It would give teachers also some more time to correct tests, get fresh air, or even hang out with other teachers. Kids will get fresh air and come back inside refreshed, active, and ready to learn! And that’s good!:)

We should get paid in schools because if the teachers put a vending machine in the school the students wouldn’t have to take parents money. So if kids ask their parents for money they will run out of money. If their parents don't have jobs. The parents will turn on each other. If they turn on each other they get lost. Parents that get lost they live in the jungle. Then they find an abandoned mansion.

ReplyDeleteA: Of course they should! I keep finding trash and crushed Mt. Dew bottles all over my street! It's GROSS. Somebody should make cars that fuel on recyclables and even trash. We would stop polluting the world if people put their recyclables in the recycling bin. I mean, unless you're stranded in the desert, I doubt that there are no recycling bins anywhere near you. It's dangerous to the animals too. They can eat some recyclables you just so happened left behind.

We should do more activities/experiments in school. Activities can allow for people to work together. For example people can work together when playing a review game for a test. Some people learn best from doing experiments and activities in class. Activities and experiments can also be very fun. One experiment that I did that was fun was called elephant’s toothpaste and it was very cool. Few activities are not very fun but some people like them. That is why we should do more activities and experiments in class.
