    Charlie and the Chocolate Factory
    By Roald Dahl

Here are four different reasons that I chose to read this book Charlie and the Chocolate Factory. Well, the first reason why is because I love all of Roald Dahl's books because he makes everything so suspenseful that you can't put the book down. Like when Charlie won the golden ticket, I was so into the book that I kept reading about what he did in the factory for another hour. The description in the book was so good. He would explain everything so detailed nothing was not told about the character's personality. He even told that Charlie had a scratch on his head. The top of the book says that Dahl is the most scrumdiddlieumpscious story writer in the world. The setting was very appropriate for the way the story went on. Charlie's family lived on the outskirts of town right near Willie Wonka's chocolate factory, and they could smell the chocolate all the way from their run down shack. The characters where so into the story that you felt like it was you that they were describing instead of the characters. When Dahl was explaining how Willie Wonka was so still then seemed to trip but he did a somersault instead of falling. The last thing was how he ended the story by giving Charlie the chocolate factory instead of ruining Wonka's wonderful factory.

  2. The Bellmaker
    By Brian Jacques

I would recommend The Bellmaker by Brian Jacques to all sixth graders. This book has lots of adventure and you have different emotions throughout the story. It’s a fantasy where there are talking animals and it explains how a mousemaid can be a warrior or be brave and she proves that to her father. There are more new characters and different antagonists in the story. The warrior, Mariel meets new friends and they travel with each other. In this book there are two different stories; a story with Mariel and her friends and a story with her parents, the king and queen with different friends that help them on their journey. What do you know? There might be different warriors or brave animals just like Mariel.

  3. The Tail Of Emily Windsnap.
    Author: Liz Kessler

I recommend this book because it is 6th grade martial. Because I think it’s more like a family life lesson because it shows the relesonships between the girl and the mom. It also has some bad parts in the book that are sad. When they live on a boat also can’t afford much. It’s a fun book to read to get away from your regular book of genre you read. I think The tail of Emily windsnap is a good book cause them a lot of Drama in the book. But in the beginning it seems like fantasy when she found out she was what she is. Personally recommend this book to 6th grader girls for the Tail of Emily windsanp.

  4. Diary of a Wimpy Kid
    By Jeff Kinney

The Diary of a Wimpy Kid series by Jeff Kinney, is a series I recommend because it has funny moments and is comedy. It’s kind of like a graphic novel but is also like a chapter book, a mix of both. It is a realistic fiction book. There is 5 books in the series and a 6th one is coming out. It’s about a boy named Greg Heffley who is going into middle school. He pretty much only has one friend. He is a selfish person and only cares about himself. In his family he has a mom, dad, a little brother, and a big brother. All three brothers are annoying to each other so the three always is fighting. So that is why I recommend this series to people that likes comics, comedy, and a nice long book.

  5. Percy Jackson and the Olympians
    By: Rick Riordan

I recommend you all read the Percy Jackson and the Olympian series. It was the best book I’ve ever read. The author is Rick Riordan. He writes about Greek mythology. The books are full of action. The main character is Percy Jackson, Grover, and annabeth. It is about the Greek gods thinking Percy has stolen the master bolt. Hades captured his mother in the underworld because he wants Percy to give him the bolt so he can be the king of the gods. Zeus has also threatened to start a war of the gods if Percy doesn’t give it back. Percy is the son of Poseidon, annabeth is the daughter of Athena, and Grover is a satyr he is not a demigod. He goes to a camp called camp half blood. Camp half blood is only for demigods.

  6. Stolen Children
    By:Peg Kehret
I recommend this book to Mrs. Thom because she loves to read books and this is a very interesting book that is a kind of scary book and she always says to write something suspense and this book is kind of suspense I guess to know what they would do to the two little girls when they ran away. Its starts off babysitting when a 14 year old girl named Amy got a phone call to a babysitting job so she said yes and then later on when she went to the house she met a little girl named Kendra and she is only 3. So they ate and it was probably around three o’clock when Kendra was tired so Amy put her to sleep and then Amy came back down to come relax and she relaxed about a long time so she went back up and saw that Kendra was gone so she was scared and then she came back down and got worried and she said maybe she was just playing hide and seek then she went all the way back up and saw Kendra’s toy cat Tubby and she asked herself how did it get down there so she picked it up and by the window she saw a fed ex truck and she saw a tall man walk to the house so she thought that if she had an adult at least she would be a little more safe so she ran up to the man and then Amy saw Kendra knocking on the window so she ran and then he caught her so she also got kidnapped.

  7. Title: Dork Diaries Author: Rachel Renee Russell

I recommend Dork Diaries to all of the girls out there, because girls might like this (if you like Diary of the Wimpy Kid) then this is a book for you. If you love humor, drama, and school life. People think its girl version of Diary of the wimpy kid. Well it’s not like that at all! The author of a book is a genius! The genius author name is Rachel Renee Russell. She writes Humor, drama, and school life. She says she’s a dork. Well I think she’s a pretty cool author. The book is like a comic book and a chapter book just like Diary of the Wimpy Kid. There’s a lot of drama. Also humor. The setting is about middle school. If you’re a boy I suggest you not to read Dork Diaries ,because it might be little bit girly for you. If you want to then go ahead! I can’t control you. When I read Dork Diaries I was at the tenth page. I finish the book in one day! I read all the series well except for one. I need Dork Diaries the forth volume. When I keep reading it over and over I never get sick of it. I laugh so hard that my mom thinks I should get my brain check. Dork Diaries might make you cry because it’s so emotional. I still have the Dork Diaries book all three of them. My friend recommends this to me. Now it’s your turn to recommend this to your friends.

  8. How To Eat Fried Worms
    By. Thomas Rockwell
I recommend you to read this book because it is cool how the boy made a bet. He had to eat 10 worms in 10 hours. So do you think he will finish the bet or not? If you read the book you might feel grossed when he eats worms. So when you are done with the book , (if you read it). Tell me how you feel on the end of it. You will see that the book is realistic fiction because the events in the story could be real. The story is about a boy who has to eat 10 worms in 10 hours. So as he is doing that the people he made a bet on it makes him do weird stuff with the worms. And if he doesn’t do what they say to do with the worms he will lose the bet.

  11. Percy Jackson: Rick Riordan

People should read this series because it has a lot of adventure in it and there are a lot of details in it also. My favorite book from this series is Lightning Thief because there are a lot of details and adventure in it. My favorite part of the book is when Percy has to vs. Luke. Luke is the god of faith. The author of this book is really good and has a really good Imagination that’s why Rick Riordan is my favorite author. I think one of rick Riordan’s best book he sold was Lost Hero. In Lightning Thief Posiden helps vs. Luke and in the end Percy and Posiden win the battle and Luke’s soul goes to his dad.

  12. Magic Tree House
    By Mary Pope Osborne

I recommend the Magic Tree House to 5th and 6th graders because it is mystery and kind of funny. The characters are Jack and Annie. Jack and Annie go on adventures together. The Magic Tree House book that I recently read was about a ninja that lead Jack and Annie farther to find this person named Morgan. They have been looking for this person for two books now I am wondering were Morgan might be . I guess I have to read more books to figure out where Morgan might be. It might take me a while to figure out where she is. I think Morgan might be in the next book or the book after that book.

  14. Diary of a wimpy kid-series By Jeff Kinney
I recommend this book because they are so funny and there not very hard to read. Plus you finish the book really fast. Every new book gets better and better. It’s funny because everything just turns into a disaster for him and he’s not the coolest kid either. His brother is always mean to him at home. School is not fun for him because he’s short, weird and is not very brave around girls. He’s go’s to middle school. Plus his friend does not really think about what he does and says. Like he was hanging out with his friend and he asked him ‘’Do you want to play?’’ He said. So he’s always embarrassed.

  15. Missing
    Catherine Macphial

I would recommend Missing by Catherine Macphail because it’s full of action and suspense. When you start reading you don’t want to stop because it really can get you going. This book is about a little girl and her brother just died and a kidnapper is out to get her. When you look at the front cover you see a little girl wondering off in a big city. That would make me choose this book and because I love mystery and suspense. If you love mystery books then you should read this book and start to get entertained.

  16. Stolen Children
    By Peg Kehret

I strongly recommend the book Stolen Children by Peg Kehret. I Recommend this book to everyone boy or girl . If you really like a book that will keep you on the edge of your seat then you will really enjoy this book! It was about a girl named Amy who was babysitting this little girl named Kendra because her real babysitter was out of town . While Kendra layed down for a snooze Amy thought it would be fine if she could rest her eyes for a while . Later she ended up falling asleep meanwhile Amy had forgotten to attempt to lock the front door , so these two men came in and snatched Kendra. Amy had finally awoke and noticed Kendra’s teddy bear that she always carries everywhere with her Amy thought “Why would Kendra’s teddy be just sitting there outside without her?” Amy heard a sound of a engine in a car she ran outside and saw Kendra inside a van with these two mysterious men . After the two men first spotted Amy they started bolting toward her saying “Get back here little one!” Now Kendra and Amy were both gone and thinking about how they could get back home as soon as possible! I really enjoyed this book because it was so interesting and it had magnificent ending . I hope you can sit down and enjoy this book just as much as I did.
