the back 40
ReplyDelete“We’re going to the back 40 today” my dad said to my sister and I. “What’s the back 40?” I asked. Then off we went. We had to take the four-wheelers to get there. It was just down the road from our cabin. Once we got there, it was a huge open field with a four-wheeler track in the middle of it. My dad, Sister, Grandpa, and I raced up and down the track. Just about by the 2nd corner there is a fish-gut pile. Just as we passed the guts Julia wanted to look at them. When we got down the hill, there were 5 crows eating the guts. Those crows are disgusting eating the guts, my sister thought. You skin your fish and then throw it in the pile. It stinks worse than a pig farm. Past the guts there were vole-holes, so when you went over them you had to stand up so your legs wouldn’t hurt when you got off. Then there was a ling strip of grass where you could store your trailers. We have 1 trailer parked there. Then you come around to the tree and leaves pile. You can throw your leaves or sticks in there. Across the pile there are a bunch of hills that my sister and I race on. Then once we go around the track a couple of times we go around the block on the four-wheelers.

Going to Grandma’s house
ReplyDeleteThis is torture! I thought as I sat awake in bed. I was at my great grandma’s apartment with my aunt, while my great grandma was on vacation. In the apartment there was only 1 twin bed and a couch. I don’t know why but we decided to both try to sleep in the bed. It didn’t work so my aunt moved to the couch. But even though I had my own bed did not mean I slept well. The bed was rock hard and I couldn’t fall asleep. In the room there was a closet and a small little table with a lamp next to the bed. We went to my grandma’s house almost every day, which wasn’t good for me because I know now that I am allergic to her cats so I was sneezing the whole time. When we left, there was a snowstorm so we stopped to eat. It wasn’t very far from my house when we stopped, so my mom and older brother met us there. I was so jealous because my brother go his first phone when I was gone.

Scar
ReplyDeleteAHHHH! I silently scream, the pain in my leg was like as if it was burning! Tears start to form in my eyes as I see blurry faces looking at me.
It was in second grade at home, me, my sister, and my dad were sitting on a three seat recliner chair. My dad put the recliner up and I was trying to annoy my sister because that’s what little sisters do! “Sis, sis, sis, sis... TICKLE!!!” I tickled my sister as she screamed for me to stop, I stopped and, my sister started attacking me with the power of tickling. It went for a long time as I laughed uncontrollably, rolling everywhere, kicking, a little bit of drool coming out… Suddenly, as my body turned, I fell off the chair. My body slammed the cold hard metal underneath the recliner, the gravity brought me down as the bar pierced through my skin, slicing a scar into my left thigh just as my body slammed the floor, taking my breath away. My mom scolded me for playing with my sister and saying it was my fault, my sister was silent and didn’t make eye contact, and my dad gave me a look of pity. Shortly after my mom gave me some chocolate and gave me a large Band-Aid. I was crying and day by day I watched a thin coat of skin cover up the scar, you can still see a ghostly white mark bulging out of my thigh, indicating where the recliner hit me. I realized that I never got my scar treated properly and never got stiches so you can still see a thick line.

Math Class
ReplyDeleteA long time ago in a university far far away….a bunch of kids were going to a tall building. They were trying to do the hardest task ever…master algebra! I go to the U of M every Thursday for my math class. I take algebra with other 6-8th graders. I was worried I would fail but I got 100% on my first exam plus some extra credit. I met two sixth graders there. We had random discussions about nuclear reactors, car A, candy and exams. Each class lasted two hours with 15 minutes break. On the ride to there I ride with two other kids. The pace of the class is much faster than any other class I took before. We have to do 2 years of math in one year. On the exams, there are 24 questions and I always miss one or two. There are 110 points and you get candy if you can get 100 points. I don’t know of anyone that got a perfect score on any exam. The first quiz was easy but the last one was hard and I barely got candy. There aren’t any assigned seats but everyone always sits in the same place every time. I haven’t had any major problems but I think the college stuff is going to be hard.
Great Grandma
ReplyDeleteI was eight, having the best time of my life. My great grandma (we called her GG) and my family were at the pie shop eating key lime pie her favorite. We were talking, hugging , and catching up with each other when we got a call. My grandma had come, I ran up to her and gave her a big hug as I thought to my self “ I really missed you.” We gave her the last piece of pie. Then she said “ lets go to the beach.” We all said yeah my GG had something else to say about that. She didn’t say yeah with the rest of us she said “ I would love that!” so we went. Once we got there we went swimming for awhile then we went cliff climbing. My GG loved that. But then it was time to go home.it was getting dark so we brought grandma and GG back the her apartment. We got home took off our shoes and settled on the couch to watch a movie. The movie started we turned the lights off when mom got a call. My grandma was on the other end she said “ It’s GG we had to send her to the hospital.” From the look on moms face I knew things weren’t going to be good. When mom got off the phone she told us “get in the car we’re going back to Duluth. Its GG she’s in the hospital.” So we got in the car. We got there at 12:30 p.m. seeing my GG laying there made me extremely sad. The doctor came in and said “ she’s to have to stay, we have to run some tests.”
I would have told my parents how awesome this place was, but all that would come out would be “Goo, Goo, Ga, Ga”…
ReplyDeleteIn our old house we, had3 rooms, one for me, one for my brother, and one for my parents. We had 1 Bathroom that sadly we all shared… Last but not least we had a nice, gigantic backyard, I loved playing out there! It was me, mom and dad, Aaron and Dotty; the craziest dog in the world, she would- “wait, that’s not what we were talking about”… So – my brother had the room at the other end, between us; bathroom, and mom and dad were next to Aaron’s room. The probably best part of the house was the basement! Ohh, how cozy it was soo cozy and nice down there! We had a big TV, a “new” computer (back then it was new), a Giant green comfy chair; witch I still love! But one of the things I Loved doing was pressing the play button on the message machine, “ohh, it was the best”. I would press the message button and it would say” no new massages” and I just loved when it said that! Of coerce would press it until either I or one of the parents would break.
But overall I wish I could go back to that house and live there again! Soo much!!! But hey, more family, new house… “Right?”
Ouch
ReplyDeleteWhen I was little, before my anarchy days, me and my friends were riding our scooters down the street and having a good time. So we decided to build a ramp and name it Raphe. Nobody would go over Raphe so I said I would go first. So I scooterd about 100 yards back and went full speed into Raphe. The jump was successful but the landing wasn’t. I rock star sled for like 5 feet on my knees and skinned them to the bone. Then I fell on my face. Ouch and ouch. I had to go to the doctor’s office and he gave me those big bandages for my knees. I couldn’t walk for like 2 days it hurt so bad! So that’s how I spent the last week of the 0-6 summer. Not very fun trust me.
Quarter
ReplyDeleteBy: Volleyball shadow girl
My brother and sister’s came over for the weekend. We went to go pick them up then we went to a gas station we always meet up at . Then we drove them home. We were home and my dad had a lot of quarters and I asked him can I have one and he said “yes.” I loved that quarter I bring that quarter everywhere I went. I was seven so I had to take naps so I went in to my parent’s room to sleep. And I didn’t want to sleep at all so I took my quarter from my pocket and I was dirty. I couldn’t go out the room or they would hear me open the door and know that I wasn’t sleeping. Then I had an idea out in my mom take it out wipe it with my shirt and it would be clean so I took the quarter put it in my mouth. Then I paused and I got scared I didn’t know what to do. Did I really just sallow a quarter? I didn’t know what to do so then I really went to sleep. My mom woke up because we had to drop her off to work. I got up and went down stairs and I started wising. Then my dad said “what’s wrong ?” I said I swallowed the n quarter I was trembling I couldn’t breathe I was wising what was going to happen was I going to die? That day my mom didn’t go to work I went to the emergency room went in to the emergency car and I passed out. I didn’t know what happened next but, When I woke up I saw was flashing lights and tears come from my mom’s eyes and suddenly a smile on her face when I woke up. In the truck the nurse gave me a sleep shot so I would sleep when in was in the surgery. My dad said “that they put as long thing in my throat to get the quarter out.” When it was over the nurse gave me a lowly pop. My mom said “free day from work josh.” Every body laughed.
Catfish
ReplyDeleteBy: Volleyball Shadow girl
In the summer me and my friend went to the pond and there were snapping turtles and fishes in the pond too. Then we wanted to go to another pond to see other fishes so we went to another pond down this black path it was rocky and a lot of dust come from it when you do one step. So we went t down the black dusty path. We went to pond and it was mini cataracts every it was barley any water it was smelly and there were dead fish everywhere it was horrible smell it REEKED! Then we saw a little thing of water there it was a catfish it was wiggling around it barley living it was going to die in a few minute if we didn’t help it. So there was a cup we by the pond we took it and ran home put water in it then we carefully walked back to the pound , and we took and we took a plastic bag and we grab the fish and put it in the cut it bite us a few times and we went through the dusty black path again it was all over our clothing we couldn’t see anything then we got to the other pond and put the catfish in the pond so it can live. Then months later we saw a really big catfish maybe it the same one.
Tunnels
ReplyDeleteBY: Volley ball shadow girl
And we saw him standing there looking at us in a angry stance and a angry face the next stance was a running stances towards us… In by my house there are two tunnels that went under ground but, they both were together and down the path there was one big tunnel that just had one and hard bars on it kind of like a jail. So me and my friend went in the tunnel that had only one big under ground tunnel. There were point sharp rocks in the outside in the tunnel and the in side when you would go downer I -t would get darker and darker. It was dark and there were rocks in there how were we going to get through there’s like know way . Then Kayla had a phone for light so we went through and we were finally there it took so long just to get there I don’t really know why though. Then we saw a guy gold had gray hair and a very angry face. He was mad furious so mad e that he chased after us we ran so fast but he was on our tail we saw the light from the sky getting lighter and lighter as we were getting closer to the bars. It wasn’t even that long I guess it took long but we were watching out for rocks. Then we slipped through the bars but he couldn’t fit. The when we got through panting breath so heavily. He had a smirk on his faced I dude in the shadows. Then suddenly a flash back to me me and my friends went there before and we saw a dude who camped out in there and we said who are you ? And he said the dude in the shadows. Then I paused for a second and I said your homeless and he said “yes”. Then we walked away he was laughing at us like we were lunatics but I didn’t care and said by I wonder why he did that.
Rambling Autobiography
I was born in the cold and windy days. My first snowman fell on me. I asked someone out on in 2nd grade. I wrote on someone’s arm and in got in trouble. I hit a grand slam when I was 11. I fainted in 5th grade math class because I hit my finger hard on the ground. I am 5ft.and 3”. On my golden birthday I went to Hollywood. When I was 3 my sister was driving a play jeep and flipped it. There was this girl I knew for along time and my whole life I know them they would looked at my house at night to see if I was outside, she always wore what I wore, tries to look at my texts, she still does this today. I never liked school. I never liked reading because I can never find a good book. I dislike writing. 5th grade was my worst nightmare. Spending time my friends!! Love my family!!!

Our feet touched the black, damp trampoline. We bent our knees and sprung into the fresh spring air. Brittany, Blake, Maddi and I that is. My mom was on a walk and my dad was doing yard work. Eeek! What was that? Suddenly we all heard my mom screaming from Preserve Trail, “Chloe got hit! Chloe got hit!” All I could think is this can’t be happening! My precious dog got hit! My mom ran to the crash scene, my dad sprinted up to the crash scene with a yellow towel, my grandpa drove his red truck up there and Maddi, Brittany and I went to my neighbor’s house. After about five minutes of trying to hold back flooding tears Blake took us to my dad. As we nervously walked up to him I choked out, “Is she dead?” He replied with a nod. I think I cried all of my tears out right then! My face felt like a waterfall. When my family heard the news they all came over because in our family pets are more that pets, they’re family. We all sat by Chloe’s soft towel wrapped body and cried. As we all mumbled our goodbyes I got the blessing of carrying Chloe to her grave. When I sat her in her grave I mumbled a little prayer. It was just between us. My dad covered her up with black dirt and that was that. I walked back to my house and cried. I couldn’t believe she was gone. My precious Chloe, gone.

The Hornet Zone
ReplyDeleteA small buzzing noise fills my ears, blocking out my sisters shrieks. “Run” she yells. That is last thing I hear before a mass of hornet’s sweeps over me.
My bright blue sweater sticks out in the oranges and browns of autumn. I look down and my eyes find a stump, but I can’t move my foot in time. I gasp as my foot loses its balance and I fall forwards towards the trail. I think quickly and catch my balance with my other foot. I run to catch up to my siblings. I follow them into the woods, my eyes scouring the bushes. That day I discover that there is more danger in the ground than in the bushes. I jump over a log and scurry towards Kyle. In the still something breaks the deadly silence. Over the buzzing noise of the hornets I hear Winona tell me to run, so I turn and run. A mass of hornets sweeps over me, covering me in cloud and latching on to my arms…
Winona got stung on her eye, and she got a lot of comments in school about it. When she tripped over the nest, the hornets had flown up in her face… My brother and I got stung on our wrists. We learned not to enter the woods into the “unexplored area” anymore.
Slender
ReplyDeleteIt was a dark cloudy day, I could hear the rain hitting against the window going tat, tat over and over and I was going to play the GAME. I thought to myself ‘Should I be doing this?’ and ‘Wasn’t it just a bright sunny day 20 minutes ago? Everybody is scared of it and it was called slender man. My parents had gone out for their anniversary dinner which was also my Dad’s birthday. And my brothers, Tyler and Darren were watching TV upstairs. So I was all alone on the first floor or I thought I was alone……….. I heard people talking about HIM.
I read and watched documents about HIM to see if HE was real or not. ‘It was said that he was a German myth’. . He was a man who was about 8ft. tall and wears a tuxedo but has no face. He had a deformed face with a nose poking out to say that he is different and the white to show he was watching you. It was said that he was spotted with children playing at the park. The very next day the children went missing. It is said whoever plays the game will disappear.
It had said HIS home is in all the woods and if you take a walk he’ll be there watching you waiting for the perfect chance to snatch you. He would snatch you when you are not looking from behind and is so fast if you try to follow him, once you see him it looks like he teleports somewhere else right away because he knows when you’re following him. HE leaves notes on trees and rights messages as ‘Don’t look or he takes you’ or ‘He has no eyes but he can see you’. There are 8 notes it is said he was invincible but there is a rumor that if you collect all 8 notes without him catching you he will die but if you don’t get all 8 notes before he finds you will die. And if you try to find your way out of the woods there would be fences surrounding the woods you are in and you can’t get out unless you collect the notes. And now I am playing the game in the dark at 7:00PM to see if everything is true…………………..
Grandma
ReplyDeleteIt feels like forever as were in the left turn lane. As the last car, a silver Honda, takes its normal 35 mph pace past us, we turn. Mason slowly puts his foot on the breaks and we stop on the 2 lane road known as Independence drive. Mason grabs the phone turns down the radio and answers the phone. When Mason gets off the phone he says that my parents were going to be late but I knew right there and then that something was wrong. My brother asks why and I say “Dad and Mom are probably caught up and meetings,” and Mason gave his usual,”Yeah. For sure.”
When we get home I go down to “the Chamber,” and play my Xbox, as usual. As I’m Yelling to my friends Tommy, Kyle, and Jake, I notice that I’ve been playing since 3 and now it’s 6. Mason calls me up for a Peanut Butter and Jelly sandwich and after we go play some Basketball outside. At 6:30 my brother, Carson, and I go back down into “the Chamber.” Then at 6:45 I hear the garage open and my dad and mom call us up. I thought I was in trouble but I Knew I didn’t do anything wrong. I sit next to my dad on the couch and my parents passed looks and what felt like an eternity, my mom finally said “Grandma passed away.”
At that moment I didn’t know how to react. My grandma who used to do puzzles with me as a kid died. My dad immediately broke down into a river of tears. I would too if my mom just died. Suddenly it hit me that my grandma died. And a few minutes later it was tears for me too. My brother didn’t really understand I think. All of my tears were now held in and I had to take my mind off of it so I said, “I’m going to take Laila for a walk.” My dad asked, “Can I go with too?” and I had to process in my mind that he was going to cry and then I’d cry too. Then I said,” Sure.”
When we were walking Laila, I noticed that no one was around which was good because if I started to cry no one would see. Then worst comes to worst dad started talking about grandma and the memories he had with her and how much she was in pain and that she was in a better place. Then I saw 2 girls at the end of the street and I thought great there from my school. And then I heard a few giggles and they turned the other way and walked to the park and hid in the slide. And then I said,” Let’s just go home.”
When we got home my dad got on the phone with my Aunt Kelly. They were from Cape Cod so they didn’t know what happened. The worst part was that they were coming in a month to see my grandma. My grandma never had all her grandchildren together in the same place. And now she would. At her funeral.
When we went to a funeral there were a lot of tears. My great aunt Kathy told a story about how Grandma and Kathy used to play all the time and Grandmas friend told a story how they were rollerblading without tennis shoes and Grandma fell and cut her knee. The biggest part that got me to cry was my dad crying. I’ve never seen my dad cry so I felt bad for him. But in the end I realized that Grandma was in a better place.
It was a warm sunny day in May. The hot sun felt good on my skin. As I got off the bus I was skipping joyfully. I stopped dead in my tracks. My mom and dad were outside by the tree. This was odd because they should be at work. this meant either bob or Annabelle are sick or something or someone died or they just took a day off. But I saw a box of tissues which meant someone or something died. I skipped over and my dad told me to sit down. My mom was the one in the end who told me while fighting back tears. my dog, Brady got hit by a car while trying to protect my other dog, Reilly. My other dog is still alive to this day. Dad told me the story as I sobbed. He said that “Reilly ran out Brady followed” we lived on a county road and that’s where they ran. Reilly ran on Brady nudged him out of the way. Then a car came zooming down and hit Brady. My dad came out to see why there were so many people on the road. He saw Brady lying on the hot paved concrete he looked dead but he was still breathing. “He needs to go to a vet” my dad said. A nice man offered to drive him to the nearby vet. He drove but Brady stopped breathing. He died in my dad’s arms. I sobbed for weeks and still tear up whenever someone mentions him or I look at my picture of him. I will never forget Brady.
ReplyDeleteSo This Is My Twisted Brain
ReplyDeleteI’m not exactly the definition of “normal” I do normal kid things like hang out with my friends and play sports but I don’t think normal. One of the things I thought about is life is like a movie and spoiler alert everyone dies at the end. This in a matter of fact is one of the truest things you will ever read. This story is so amazingly awesome that your brain will walk out of your head and turn into a black hole then throw its self onto the wall and you will dive though it into another dimension where the earth is made of chocolate and everyone gets to be what they want to. I also think that when I die everyone I know will die after that and then I will be dead for a very long time and the sun will explode. I’m not a sad depressing person as most “normal” people would think at this point. I think about different things too like if I tied a rubber band between two trees could I apply enough weight to be launched in the air. Like that ride at the state fair where you sit in a metal ball of doom and get launched into the air and right back down while being held by 2 cords. Even though I do enjoy those rides because you can feel the pressure and the death defying force of science used to keep you breathing. I used to play war with my friends and in war ANYTHING is a weapon so I decided to use rocks as grenades. That did not turn out as well as a planned. My friend Charlie popped out from behind a tree and I went “tick tick tick.” Then I chucked the “grenade” and it hit Charlie right in his face. I do have to say that was one of the most perfect throws I have ever done. Charlie wasn’t bleeding but it made a solid thump the exact same sound as when you throw something at a wall or dirt. When it hit and left a nasty bruise that’s the first time I used a swear word in context. I screamed the big F bomb and it was defiantly atomic. You could feel what came out of my mouth just like Raphe in the Christmas story I got away with all of it though because my parents were inside.
I’m not full pledged stupid because I do know how to program. Not in a lot of codes but in html 5 JavaScript and CSS. I understand these things because my dad made me understand them. Well sort of, I wanted to understand what my dad was doing during his work so I searched up a few things and I started to learn coding. Some people follow in politics so do I but nerdy politics. Like when the steam box will be released and why Gabe Newell has a pure hatred for the number 3. Watching E3 is one of my favorite events kind of like the winter classic but I favor the winter classic more. I like to think not learn but think. I like to think about things and when you learn there is a fine line between thinking and learning. You see when you think your mind can wander to places and do whatever you want. When you learn you go in a straight path and that path goes right off a cliff. When you think whatever happens it makes sense in your head and not to other people. That’s the reason I like thinking not learning because it’s a tiny world and I can control what happens just by doing nothing. As you can tell I have two parts of myself one Is like the redneck uncle we all have who lets us launch fireworks into the neighbors shed so he could laugh and my other side is if that redneck uncle was Steven Hawking but if he could walk and was about 85% less smart than he usually is.

The Boy Who Died
ReplyDeleteOne day my dad’s friend’s son was going to bike to his friend’s house. Immediately a car accidentally hit him, and his helmet came off and his head crashed into the window. The driver was terrified as he opened the door he got his cellphone calling 911. When 911 answered he said that he accidentally hit a boy. When his parents found out they rushed to the hospital. The doctor told them that he had to have a head surgery to look at his brain.
The boy’s parents started to worry. He was conscious in two hours and then a week later his parents said to my dad, “Our son has passed away let him rest in peace.” His parents said to let the hospital have all his organs, and after that he was criminated. It’s been 4 years since the accident. His parents moved because they feel really sad when they look at the things in his house. That’s a really sad story.
I remember when Jake, my best friend died in a car accident. I remember that day when he told me about his abusive dad, his broken family, and watching his mother die right in front of him. He was the bravest person I ever knew. He taught me how to stay strong. One day I was at the house alone when I heard somebody banging on my door. I opened it up to find Jake in tears. He sat down and told me how his dad got drunk and hurt him bad. Then somebody else started hitting the door making a loud booming sound. It was his dad. As he walked in I could feel his big feel stomp from under me. He gave Jake a good yelling and demanded him to get into the car. So he did. But before he could go, I gave him the most real, sincere hug I`ve ever given anybody and whispered into his ear, “You`ll be alright k?” but in my head the thought lingered, after today, will I see you again? He nodded and tried to draw on a smile as a tear slipping down his bruised face. Then left.
ReplyDeleteBut the following day I realized I was wrong. He wasn’t alright, he was gone … forever. I found out by the cheap 50 cent newspaper. As my eyes whispered the broken words, I could feel my eyes water and my knees gave out bringing me to the cold hard floor. That was one of the greyest days of my life. I cried myself to sleep ever y night for a whole year. All I could think about was how dumb I was. I should’ve called the police, I should’ve let him stay with me, I should’ve done something… anything. But then I remembered how he always said, “everything happens for a reason.” Could`ve ending his life been for the better? He was always so depressed, always getting picked on, always getting hurt. He was never happy.
I believe he`s in a better place now. He`s at peace and free of misery. I wonder if his grey eyes turned around to blue again. Sometimes I can ever feel them looking down on me.
ReplyDeleteHair, Make-Up, and Beautiful
“Oh my gosh! I’m so excited!” Sorry. That was my step-sister Noelle screaming because we are going to get our hair and make-up done for my dad’s wedding. “I know! Me too! I yelled along with her as we pull up to Cole’s salon. First we all got our hair done. My step-mom and I both got our hair curled and it looked really pretty with the gems in my hair. My step-sister got her hair put in a side braid and it looked really pretty with the blue flower in her hair. Then we got our make-up done. When I saw the make-up, my eyes froze, I didn’t know someone could own so much make-up, as the world spun, I sat there like an idiot staring at make-up. When they finished and I looked in the mirror, I thought “where’s the run way?” I felt like a model about to walk down the runway. I didn’t even look like myself. My step-sister and I kept getting compliments from all the women in the salon. They loved our hair, our make-up, our jewelry, and even our shoes! My step-mom looked BEAUTIFUL! Her hair was perfectly curly, her make-up was perfect, and her smile topped it off. We all looked stunning. We were ready for my dad’s wedding.
HOW I LIVE WITH MY FAMILY
ReplyDeleteI was born in a warmer place and colorful things. I grew up in Kenya. I love pets but mostly I love cats best. My dad doesn’t like cats or any other animal.one time I had another cat but she died. She used to be a nice little cat. I use to play with her all the time.so I got a new cat and that one got lost because it went to my friend’s house and I got him back and then she got lost a gain and didn’t know where he went then I got the black cat. Once I went to my grandmother house and she had a baby cat and she gave it to me and my dad didn’t know that I have a cat so the cat had green eyes and he was black and at night my dad would go and was his hands and the cat would scared and he would jump up and I would laugh so hard.
My dad was a teacher In Kenya, he teaches kids like me .my dad use to teach a school called kaigat sda primary school. And I used to go to that school too! My mom didn’t have any job she just does things on the farm that we had and we plant lots of things on the farm. I use to make my mom cry a lot because she doesn’t like to see anything really scary. I am the only one at my house. I wanted a brother but it okay I guess .I can do anything I want. It’s fun being the only child at your house. You get lonely some time and sometime it’s not fun and sometime your parents might give job to do and it’s not fun you do not want to be there. You know why it’s fun because you get your own stuff. That’s what I love about being the only child.
Candy Party
ReplyDelete“Let’s get this party started” I yelled, Streamers everywhere. I could already see the games. We just got back from trick- or- treating and hungry to eat bags candy, play games, and party. We got to start the games off with old fashion bobbing for apples. The goal was to get the apple with the x on the bottom. After rounds Jake got the x apple. He got to go first at the next game, pin the tail on the ghost. Blind folded and lost I hit everything. After a while I stuck the needle into the ghost. I got the closest to the butt, so I got a prize. A glowing axe!
Then the final event ghost tag! So fun to run around throwing ghosts. We each have six ghosts in our grasps. All I need to do is to take down 6 of my friends. Carter shouts go. Boom! there I was my arm arched and ready to throw. Ghost flying everywhere. I threw the last ghost to take down Austin for an epic win.
We watched paranormal activity afterward. The movie wasn’t impressive at first, then it got freaky leading to the finally where it got into my dreams. All that I needed then was a ghost looking at me when I slept. Half my candy was gone! That night I slept with my head under the covers. Wow perfect way to end the best party ever.

“Mysterious Monsters”
ReplyDeleteIn my neighborhood, in the pond right next to my house, there were “monsters.” Also known as crocodiles, alligators, and sharks. To me being a little kid that was scary. As a little kid, I was not allowed to go down by the pond at all. My parents would tell me and my brothers about the monsters that lived in and by the pond. They did this to keep us away and from going to the edge and falling in. When my friends would some over, they would want to go by the pond and throw rocks and things like that. But, I would have to tell them how we can’t go down by the pond because of the “monsters.” And when I did that, my friends would get kind of freaked out. My brothers and I would try to say to my parents “The not real dad!” or, “You’re lying mom!” But, they would always refuse.
One day, my parents were telling me that if I went down by the pond, the monsters would eat me. My parents kept on telling me and my brother’s things like that to keep us away from the pond. And believe me, it worked. I never went near the pond. Until one day, my brother decided to go down by the pond. I was scared because he could get “eaten.” My brother went down, he walked very slowly, and then, nothing happened. He lived! I was filled with relief! I ran inside and was screaming to my parents, “Mom, Dad!” My parents came to where I was. “What’s wrong?” My mom asked. “Kyle went down by the pond and I thought he was going to get eaten by the monsters and he didn’t!” Then, me and my brother finally got my parents to admit that the monsters were fake, I told all my friends it was a lie. Including the neighborhood kids. And, from there on out, that was the end of the monsters.
ReplyDeleteThe Hair Cut
“Mom my hair is growing too fast”! When I was little, like 5 years old, my hair grew very fast; it grew down to my butt. I used to hate taking care of it: washing it, drying it, brushing it etc…
One day I was just over it, so I decided to cut my own hair .CHOP I cut my bangs off. I went to my mom and said,” Do you notice something about me”. She didn’t notice. Then I went to my dad and he said I needed to put lotion on my face .So he was smearing lotion all over my face, then suddenly he started noticing tiny hair strips on my shoulder .He looked up, His face turned red like a baboon’s butt and then he cooled down, my dad asked me who cut my hair I said me, I think he had a good idea because he was smiling at my mom very suspiciously. When I found out I was not happy, I ran all the way up stairs and cried there for about 30 min. then I was ready, I put on my coat and sat in the car. My mom drove me to the hair salon.( just to tell you my mom has no sense of fashion) The hair solon people started cutting my precious little hair that was down to my butt, now it is up to the top of my precious head. At home my dad was feeding my 2 year old brother and he looked really relieved by looking at my hair. (My dad was relieved because usually he is the one who brushes my hair and everything)
Still now I have baby hair sprouting on my forehead from that day I cut my own fragile hair!!!
Shakopee: My New Paradise
ReplyDelete“What? We’re moving?” my six year old mind screamed when I had found out that we were moving to the place where my parents worked, Shakopee MN. They worked as limo drivers for the Indians and still today my mom still drives for them. We packed our bags and over a course of a couple of weeks and began to move our stuff at the beginning of summer so it would be a lot easier for me to get out of school. I remember the first time we moved out of town, it was out of Golden Valley, MN and my brother was still in school. I remember how, when I was three, I would think that I was lucky because I didn’t have to go to school ever because I was too smart. Yeah I know pretty funny huh? Anyways like I said during that move I think my brother was still in school. That must’ve been hard for him because I couldn’t imagine having to leave all of your friends and classmates like that but I found out what that felt like when we finally moved out when I was six.
Making the transition between Burnsville to Shakopee took a long time and I thought I would miss my few friends that I had there, but I’ve done it before so really I didn’t care. Sure I cared about my friends, but it wasn’t as painful as I thought it would be. The time I remember the most when we were moving all our stuff was the time when my dad’s truck was in front of us and his red fitness ball bounced out when he hit a bump and it bounced away from the truck. I was of coarse going crazy as it attempted to roll down the side of the road, I begged and pleaded to my mom in the front seat to stop and get it because that ball was fun to sit and watch TV. on it. Plus I’ve had it since I was three so there are lots of good memories of TV. shows in there. She did and I was relieved and happy
The next thing I know we’re in our brand new Yukon XL that my parents got a few weeks ago on our way to Shakopee, my new paradise. As we rode in it we pulled up on this driveway. There were rich people living by us, I thought as I eyed their mansion. We pulled up on not a gravel road, but a dirt one with a bunch of rocks and sand in it that could make your car get really dirty, really quick. It had something growing along the side of it; it was really tall grass that swayed in the breeze. From that I could tell that the person who lived here must’ve not cut the lawn in a long time. Once we pulled up my dad got out of the car and a man walked outside, probably in his thirties. I thought it was one of my dad’s friends but really they we’re the key to my new home. We arrived at this gorgeous house, probably a mansion with a drive around that included two or three trees with my new to be favorite rocks, some unstable, some not, and some that calm me down because of their color and texture. I would climb on them every day for no reason. I made up my own game called ”Around the Universe” It goes like this: You basically run around on top of the rocks without falling off or using your hands, it was always a game I’d play after school. One rock I remember had a fossil in it. I didn’t know what it was but I thought it was cool anyways to have a piece of history with me. There was also a clearing where, you could see the most beautiful sunset from on top of my favorite tree. Or on top of the truck, where my parents preferred I shouldn’t go on top on, I would watch the sunset every day. I don’t know why but it was somehow the most beautiful thing that I’ve ever seen in my life. It was always unique, just like me!
Ok, back to moving, moving over three-hundred toys was the WORST! Of course, they were my toys and I couldn’t help because I wasn’t old enough yet, but I could tell my parents were having a hard time. I’d try to help but they wouldn’t let me. When they offered I was too lazy or I “didn’t want to”. But I have no choice to help out today, though, so I don’t really care because, now, I’m living in my paradise, and I’m never leaving.
I heard the engines roar as we took off to Florida. When we took off my ears popped. Finally we landed. On our way to the hotel we saw wild boars. When we got at the hotel we decided to swim at cocoa beach. While I was in the water I saw a couple of colorful fish and one sting ray. Turns out that stingray was chasing me. So my dad saw the sting ray chasing me, so he dragged me out of the water very quickly. That was a very scary moment for me, so I wanted to leave.
ReplyDeleteMy dad said we should go to Joe’s crab shack. My mom and I agreed to eat there. My mom got King crab. My dad got lobster, and I had popcorn shrimp. Then for dessert we had chocolate cake. We went back to the hotel when it was 9:00 but I still wanted to swim in the pool so I swam until 10:00. Finally I was done I went inside to go to sleep and that was it for one night. The next morning I got up to go down to the pool. Where my dad was swimming. I relaxing on a chair at first but then I saw a wild lizard. I said to myself ‘’ I have to catch that lizard’’. So I tried but those lizards were way too quick.
When my dad got out of the pool we ate breakfast down by the lobby. After my dad my mom and I went to universal studios. My dad and I went on a lot of roller coasters. One of them was a Jurassic park water ride that scares you at the end. Then we went in a couple shops. I found an element shop that sells skateboards. That’s where I got my first skateboard. Since it was a long hot day at universal studios we went back to the hotel. That was our last day so we went back home the next morning.

Memories
ReplyDeleteWhen I was eight my grandpa got sick. On Easter I came to visit and he told me all about his life, and his childhood. When he was diver he would ride sea turtles, and dolphins. Every time he was about go diving my grandma would worry because there were sharks and other dangerous creatures. My grandpa told me about his horse Cola and the time he was galloping through a clear part of the woods when a tree struck him and he whipped off Cola, he was so badly hurt that he had to crawl all the way back to the barn. My favorite story was when he was flying with his friend and he did a loop but half way through the loop the engine failed and he had to land the plane in between two semis on a median! They tried to start the plane but it wouldn’t work so my grandpa got out and tried starting the plane the old fashion way and it worked. As he climbed in the plane it took off. He was hanging from the seat and finally he pulled himself up and flew the plane back home. When he told me about his childhood he told me how he used to ride a cow to school. He also said to keep their food cold during the summer they would cut ice from the river and lake and then get straw and make a small shed with straw covering every side and then the ice around all the food and it was a small little shed in the ground. The stories were amazing and I’m glad I stayed with him and listened to him because a week later he past away.
The Big Accident
ReplyDeleteTalk, talk, talk was all I could here as everyone was walking into the classroom. It was recces time and we were all getting our snow pants and boots and hats and scarfs on. We went outside and I was talking to my friends Erin, Maddie, Cathleen, Sydney and Delaney. We were all talking about what we were going to do at recces and they all said go on the jungle gym and do flips on it. I knew how to do flips on the low bar, but all of my friends wanted me to try the top bar. “I was thinking to myself I don’t have to do this if I don’t want too.” “But then they will think I’m a big baby that doesn’t want to do it”. I said “No, I am way too scared”. They all kept begging and begging for me to try it. So I said “alright I will”. But if I fall you guys need to be down there to catch me”. They all said “okay”. I felt much more confident knowing that they were going to be down there. So I was at the top and Maddie and Delaney were up there by me. Sydney, Erin and Cathleen were at the bottom. I was so scared I said “do I really have to”. They all said “just try it you will be fine”. So I said “okay I trust you”. They all counted down 3, 2, 1. I flipped and the next thing I knew I fell face first and I was laying there crying on top of snow and woodchips. All of my friends were asking me “are you okay” I said “no” my head really hurts. I got up and I had a big scratch right on top of my forehead all the way down to my nose. The teacher that was out there asked “what happened sweetie”. I told her I fell off the jungle gym and the girl said “can one of your friends bring you to the nurse”. Delany did. I got up to the nurse and she asked me to tell her the whole story I tried but my head still hurt very bad. She told me to lie down and then I threw up. So she asked me if I wanted to go back to lunch so I went to lunch and everyone was staring at me. After lunch I went back to class and I had a sub that day. Everyone asked what had happened to me including the teacher. I asked the sub if I could go back to the nurse. She said “yes”. So the nurse called my parents and my dad came and picked me up and we went home. Once I woke up I threw up again so my dad decided to ring me to the hospital and he called my mom and told her to meet us there. She came and the doctor asked what had happened so I told him the whole story and he told my parents to wake me up every 2 hours to see if I were okay. But now I am okay to this day
I was riding at full speed I had my knees bent I thought I was going to fall but I kept my feet. On I almost thought about jumping of but I’ve done that before and you just go flying the slide on the pavement. This is a steep driveway it’s always fun but every time you go down you feel like you are going to fall
ReplyDeleteI thought I was going to fall because the wheels on a ripstick are small so you can easily hit a rock and go flying. Finely the bottom was getting closer and closer “almost there” I said in my head, suddenly in the corner of my eye I say a big dip in the driveway I was going too fast to ovoid it so I kept going .I bent my knees and hoped for the best finely I got over it and reached the bottom. Yes said my neighbor. We always go outside and ripstick during the summer it’s fun when tour moving on a ripstic with friends. My neighbor has a little brother we thought him to ripstick and he is only in second grade we also thought my sister and my brother we split into groups and the older kids teach the younger kids we have lots of fun to bad summer does not last.
Flying to California
ReplyDeleteWe zoomed through the thousands of people, trying to catch our flight. We were going to California.
It was me, my mom Kelli and my sisters Rachel and Jessica. I was probable the age of five and we were
Going to see my grandma Gail. My mom was supper exited to see her mom and her two steep sisters, I
Could see it in her eyes as we all rushed through the crowd of people trying to catch their flight.
My sisters and I were so excited to see our grandma. I could see it we were almost to our plane. Before I
Know it we are sitting on the plane and the doors are closing. The captain was saying something but its
So muffled I can’t hear anything my sisters got their own seat in front of
Me and my mom. My mom fell asleep within twenty minutes of the flight, so I was bored. Me and the lady
next to me, you know we started talking to each other and I asked her if she wanted to be my friend and
she said yes. She had brown hair and she looked about middle aged. The flight attendant gave me some
orange soda, but I couldn’t drink it because the glass
Was too big. So my new friend helped me poor the soda into a smaller cup. I watched her as she poured
The splashing dark tangerine soda into a plastic cup. Before we know it three hours have passed by and
we are getting off the plane my mom thanks the lady for watching me and keeping me company. We all
Said good bye to her and we never saw her again. Isn’t that crazy that I’m going to California in two days?
One aggressive day, while my mom was gone my sister was taking care of my brother Alex and me. We were playing video games, until my sister Taryn told us to get off and let her watch TV. But I didn’t listen to her so she turned off the TV. Agreed and left all I thought of was “what mischievous evil ideas should I do for my revenge?” I destroyed my room ran downstairs I had Hot wheels in my hand and started throwing them at my sister. One missed and broke our TV. Taryn grabbed Alex and locked them in the bathroom. Taryn yelled for her friend Keke. When she came she immediately ran into the bathroom until, my mom came and I stopped and was in a lot of trouble. I had to clean up my room it took me two or three hours. I told everybody I was sorry and thy accepted my apology. But my sister didn’t accept my apology she’s still mad at me for doing that awful thing I had done. My mom is still mad at me for breaking her TV, I was eight when I broke our TV.my dad bought us a brand new TV. This was better for my mom.
ReplyDeleteIn August of 2012 we went to our cabin in Crosby. So of course it was nice out so why not go tubing. We are on the crispy blue water riding on the flat, red, scary tube called the Viper! Duwayne the boat driver was going to try to slow down because my best friend Quinn and I HATE and have a deep fear for that tube, but it was the tube for the day. “Ok” I was thinking “This is kind of fun!” Then all of a sudden…….. Duwayne sees these ginormous waves. Quinn and I praying that he won’t. But all of a sudden the tube starts to slowly drift towards the waves. I jolted my head towards Quinn I saw a panic all over her face, I could hear her screaming, and I could smell fear. Now Quinn and I were trying to shake our heads but we were like paralyzed. Now we were screaming as we started over the waves until we hit the BIG ONE!!! But Duwayne was trying to stop but we hit the big one just perfect that we were flying. Quinn and I both closed are eyes, because we were so scared. When we hit the water again I didn’t make it on the tube again and did a good old belly flop! OWWW! When I came up screaming and crying because I was so scared! Nut I learned a valuable lesson that day, courage is what keeps you going, and I still use that today.
ReplyDeleteI was blasting my music when I heard my name being called from downstairs. I thought I was in trouble! That’s when I saw what was on the screen and it was the Bahamas website and I said “why do you have that pulled up?” My dad replied back “we are going are going to the Bahamas!” Right then and there my brother and I were so excited! We were finally going on a family vacation! Then we had to pick out a activity and I wanted to swim with the dolphins where you get to touch them and get up close. But no we had to go snuba diving, which is ok because we get to swim in the ocean. On the night before we had to leave my mom made sure we had everything we needed like the important things. So then I had to go to bed at 8:30 p.m. and wake up at 2:00 a.m. It ended up not mattering because I slept the whole first plane ride. Then on the second horrible plane I watched a movie and threw up! Because I threw up on the plane ride, the whole first day I was looking at ants crawling on the nasty old garbage in the garbage can, while my family got to look at the beautiful beach and ocean. On that night my mom and brother went and walked the hotel. When they came back they had a stuffed animal for me! I was so happy when I got it I could actually see me in my sleep touching all the individual hairs on the dolphin. Then in the morning we went swimming right after we ate breakfast. We went swimming all over the resort! When we came back to our room I was confused because we left the room a total mess and it was all clean. So my mom had to explain that maids come and clean are room. Then I got why it was clean. The next day we went snuba diving and there was rain bows of fish and coral. I was really scared at first to get in the water because I didn’t know if there would be sharks near. But the guy that was swimming showed us what to do if there were any sharks. But one of the bad things is never go in the ocean when there is a low tide. You end up getting a dipper full of sand.

ReplyDeleteI woke up dazed and confused to the sound of the “Beep! Beep! Beep”! Of the heart monitor, suddenly I had a flashback. I was sitting in the hospital diagnosing my so called “Cold” When I couldn’t stand up. I sat back down and told my mom. She was shocked; my face was red as a ripe apple. Then suddenly I passed out. As I woke up the doctor said I had a severe case of the “Flu” they had hooked me up to the IV machine to help me from getting hungry as they were giving me my medicine. They gave me the medicine I was severely allergic to and my heart rate slowed down to a dangerously low 30 BPM my parents were thinking I was going to die. My mom cried so much because she was worried about me. As my heart rate was going down time around me slowed down to about almost freezing. It was one side effect of the medicine. And my body was not liking it. Every 5 minutes they had to unload another bag of medicine and it was just horrible. I thought I was done for; the medicine gave me hives the size of golf balls. Needles were sticking out of every vein in my body to keep injecting the medicine I needed to survive the Flu. After 5 days of torture and pain I finally broke through 3 of those days I was in a coma the other 2 were filled with medicine and pain. The hospital finally discharged me to go home. I was finally not sick for a long time. For about 1 month I was sick until I went to get diagnosed for my so called “Cold”. Soon after we called the hospital saying we wanted to sue them for giving me the wrong medicines for my case of the Flu. They denied all costs but we hired more and more lawyers to help with our case. It was our second suing the hospital the first time was an accident. The first time was because the doctor gave me the wrong medicine and diagnosed the wrong disease.
Sometimes I wish I never went in that trailer.it all started when me and my family where moving from our old house. We had boxes. Everywhere. Upstairs, downstairs, the yard. Everywhere. Most boxes downstairs were too big and heavy to carry upstairs. So we went through the yard. We were going to use a tractor with a trailer attached to it. We loaded it up and were going up the hill. I had to stand in the back; you know… so the boxes would not fall out the back and thumbed down the hill. As we with up it was supposed to be a nice ride, right? Wrong. The tractor stopped half was up. The hill was to step to climb up. Dad said that we were going to unhook it. I had to get out. The only problem was I couldn`t! My foot was stuck! Just then the trailer filliped! with Me in it. Boxes went everywhere I just wasn’t prepared for what was going to happened next. I crawled out of the upped trailer; my leg had a small pain in it. When I looked at it was horrible. I had a crater in my leg!!! I ran up to the porch and held my leg in pain. Alex grabbed some gauze and raped my leg in it. Dad helped me in to the car and drove. Speeding to the hospital. I got inside and waited they took me to the room. Gave me numb shots and got 11 stitches. Just when my leg is sewed up and i thought it was all over there was one more thing. No not a lollypop or a sicker a, can you guess it? If you guessed a tenses shot then you guessed correctly! In the end I decide it was not the best way to spend my summer

Flipping Over My Bike
ReplyDeleteI was at my friend Selena's house and we were exhausted of watching Twilight over and over. So Selena and I decided to go outside and it was super-hot we felt like hot sizzling’ bacon instead we went in and had ice-cream. We were done eating the ice-cream then we came out and rode our bikes. Selena had things on the back of her bike that you can ride on it looked like metal tubes sticking out. I usually ride on it but we were so tired I wanted to sit and ride in the front of the bike. Then she can pedal us. As we were riding up and down the street a few time I wanted her to stop. So instead of telling her to stop I just put my bare feet on the wheels and stopped it and the back wheel went on and the front wheel stopped. All of a sudden I was freaking out and wanting to get off but the wheels kept going and I could see the tire marks on the ground and a nasty blood which looked like a juicy red cherry and that made me want to throw up. Since it was summer I was wearing shorts and my friend was wearing jeans she did not have a bruise or scare and there I was with bruises and scares. That I still have and every time I look at it it brings back bad memories. I was mad and grossed out the pain felt like it hurt more than it hurt to have your head slammed into the wall. On the street was a big mess or a destroyed bike that was pretty pricy. I went home crying and a bloody knee.
Basketball is in my blood
ReplyDeleteI wake up in the breezy morning and can tell it’s my day to shine it’s now or never. It was time for basketball. I didn’t know what I could do but then I remembered I had a NBA game on the Xbox so I thought I would give it a try. I played but it wasn’t filling the need for real life basketball. So I thought long and hard and it hit me like a ball to the face. I would invite my friends over to get their butts kicked, but it turns out they were busy, whatever they didn’t want to get owned. Then I realized I would ask my dad. He accepted the challenge. It was a nice day but really hot. The next thirty minutes were awesome the game was really good and better yet I was winning but he said, “Next shot wins.” I had high hopes because it was my ball. I went in for the shot and missed it, I was stunned. He made the last shot to win. I got over it real fast because it wasn’t the end of the world. In fact it was really fun. We haven’t done it in a long time, but we have made a lot of other good memories that I wouldn’t trade for anything in the world.

Home Run!
ReplyDeleteWe were playing to go to the championship. We were in Delano. We were playing Rogers.it one of the best games I have ever played in my life. I was 11 years old. On the triple team. It was the 5th inning. We were down 4-6 with two innings to go. 1 out I was up next, the kid before me hit a double. I was in the batter’s box swinging the weight. And then I was up. I thought in my head ‘’ Lets win this thing, be confident, swing hard’’ .The pitch was coming luckily it was in the dirt. So I reset my feet and got ready for the next pitch. This one was a perfect pitch. So I swung really hard and hit it. So I ran to the base really hard, I looked at the third base coach and he made the home run sign. IT was gone! But the game was not over yet.
Brad Paisley
ReplyDeleteLast Christmas when I was 11, my sister and her husband Louie (boyfriend at the time) took me and my sisters Emily and Kara to a concert. Brad Paisley was the main artist there but there was also Scotty Mcreary and a couple of others. It was his “Camouflage” concert, based on his new song Camouflage. We were all super excited. Megan was driving Me, Louie, and Kara but Emily had to play volleyball so my mom was going to bring her later. It was early January so the roads were pretty icy. We stopped at a Mexican restaurant on our way there. I had a Jurrito which is a Mexican kind of pop that comes in a glass bottle. I had some left in the bottom of my bottle so I brought it in the car to finish before we got to the concert. Shortly after we left the restaurant we were cruising along the highway following this car. I remember signing “You’re invisible to a whitetail, but irresistible to every redneck girl!” That was by far my favorite song of his at the time. The car we were following all of a sudden slammed on its breaks for no apparent reason. We were in the left lane so Megan swerved over to the shoulder. Then we found out why the car slammed on its breaks. There was a dark green truck that had earlier spun out onto the shoulder. It had no lights on what so ever. You wouldn’t be able to see the truck unless you were a good 10 feet away. Megan tried to swerve back into traffic but the roads were too icy. Louie screamed “Hold on!” and then it happened. Our right front bumper hit their left. We hit them and then our car swerved back into oncoming traffic. It went into the traffic then came back and slammed into the shoulder. I remember the sound of the glass breaking, the metal bending, and my heart pumping. I opened my eyes and was amazed at what I saw. There was glass everywhere, airbags popped and shooting out dust, and all of our faces. We were all just shocked at what happened, and how fast it happened. Megan called my mom and she was obviously not expecting to hear we got in a crash. The cops were there before we knew it. The asked us questions while I looked out the window. It wasn’t exactly a window anymore though. It was a hole in the smashed car door. Some people were talking on the phone. Others were taking videos or pictures of us and of all the wreckage we left behind. My dad showed up after a little while and he brought me, Louie, and Megan home. Kara hurt her head and was bleeding so she got took to the hospital by the ambulance that was on scene. When we got home I took my sweatshirt off and glass poured out everywhere out of my hood and sleeves. Megan had a pretty bad headache and a giant goose egg on her head, so she went to the hospital too. Kara got stiches and Megan just had to rest up and it would get better by itself.
The next day we went to the car lot where the tow truck brought Megan’s car. The whole side was entirely smashed. Megan got her stuff out of the car. I looked through the window hole, and I saw it. I found my Jurrito bottle. It didn’t break. It didn’t even have a scratch on it. That’s when I realized how much worse it could’ve been. One of us could’ve been killed. We came out of there with a couple stiches, and bumps and bruises. That’s when I knew it. God was watching over us and he always will be.

the Basketball Game
ReplyDeleteOne day me and my brother Jordan went to play outside and played a basketball game .My whole family wanted to watch so they did. I shot a lot of shots and made some. My brother was winning by fifteen so then I caught up. I made shot after shot and I was doing well. So then fifteen to fifteen with five seconds to go and I went to the rocks and jumped and shot the ball was bouncing on the rim and it went in amazing but When I landed “CRACK” went my ankle I fell to the ground it felt like someone was beating me with a hammer and nail I iced it for three hours and then my dad said that I should bring him to the hospital. When I got there she gave me a wheel chair and brought me to the X-ray Place. They said I broke it and I said OMG because I really wanted to play another game. They got me crutches so then I walked around so I could get used to it. I got used to it Write away so then I got to go home When I got home My mom was standing at the top of the steps and When I got home she hugged me And I had to push her off me. And that is my story
When I live in Florida I was playing football I had a good friend he threw the ball I caught it we punted the ball back to our opponents. We intercepted the ball. I ran the ball I got another touchdown they got the ball I tackled him he got a fumble the ball and ran it in for a touchdown right now. I got 3 touchdowns and a kid is mad and when he gets mad you want to stay out of his way I threw the ball to my friend he caught the ball he got a touchdown he ran up to me and punched me in the face I got knocked out. I woke up to them playing football got up caught the ball and my friend said wrong way I turned around ran because one of the opponents and I had to run around the crowed tripped this mean kid and his team was behind him and it tuned into dominoes and the was only five seconds to the clock I got a touchdown and we win the game. So after the game was over we went on a bike ride and we all enjoyed it. The next day we said lets go one on one and me and my best friend were the only two people left to play. The game starts and there is 20 seconds left and he fumbles the ball on his own one yard line. I dive in for a touchdown and the game is over I win the game. We went to McDonalds and had a bite to eat.
ReplyDeleteMy house is scary for me in a few different ways. 2009, in October 15,
ReplyDeleteMy dad leaves at about 5:00 A.M. So there was supposedly a robber in a bush in the backyard of my house and he saw my dad getting the garbage and recycling out to the end of my driveway. The guy saw him and he was thinking ok he is the only one home, so my dad went back inside and got his jacket and he turned out the lights and left. So thought all the doors are closed and windows and all the lights are out. Well here is my chance. He walked up my steps, he hustled to my door. Thought what he was going to break the window with, he used his foot and BAM!!! He was in my house walking around looking for something to take. My mom went downstairs and thought that my dryer exploded in my laundry room, because we just installed a new dryer. But she saw the guy and got terrified and ran back upstairs, took my phone and called 911. I heard papers fly and thought that my dad dropped his bible and his papers on the inside fell out. So I went in the hallway and yelled his name and my mom heard me and said Ally so I went in her room and she was sobbing and talking to someone and it was a dispatcher and my brother soon came in and the person that my mom was talking to said to go into the bathroom wrap yourself in a towel and wait for the police to get there. While we were in there I asked what really happened and my mom said someone broke into our house. The police came and we got to go downstairs and we “thought” that he didn’t take anything and my mom went to find her purse to get out something and she couldn’t find it and we found out he took her purse. Luckily all he was looking for was money to get drugs. So we figured that he was a teenage looking for trouble. Now I still have a hard time feeling 100% safe in my house. we all have a hard time sleeping.
So we had to get up very early to catch our flight. When we got there was a huge heat wave there. so we caught into our room it was huge . so the one of the places we went is magic kidome and that is where we went on the hulked berry fin island ( or some like that ). We unfortinley could not go on the tree house. We also went to see the parade. The next stop is Disney so the streets are packet with lots and lots and lots of probably around the 50,000 or more people so to ride one ride you had to stand in line for an hour. Now we are standing in line to ride the toy story ride 10 minutes 20 30 40 50 60 minutes later on ride next ride is Space Mountain in the dark. Boom. boom. boom. Crack. Loud speaker comes on the ride has broken 40 to 50 minute hold up so we did not ride.there is a little more but that would take to much time so yay yay yay yay yay. So that’s my story!
ReplyDelete
ReplyDeleteOh my gosh it happened! It was 2010 in December. My friend Zach and I, who just lives up the street, love to make snow forts after the plowman comes and plows the street. At one point in time we made a huge igloo with shelves and a fridge with pop and candy, it was so much fun. One day Zach and I had an idea of making a village. Day one: We started to just making the basic shape of each house which was pretty hard to do. Day two: Next we started clearing/hollowing them out, it was really hard because the roof kept on falling down and we just had to keep rebuilding the roof. Day three: we were just adding shelves to each house which wasn’t had at all, because all we had to do was grab a chunk of snow and put it on. Day four: all we had to do was add pop and candy which was so easy but it was cold so we went inside for some hot chocolate to warm up from the cold. Day five: all we did was play in the little village. After like three hours we went home. Day six: well I hate this kid he broke everything! We told his dad and he said “well I’ll talk to him.” I was so sad and mad. Ben (who broke It.) said “well I thought I could because someone did that to me.” I was so mad and sad.
I was born five months before 9/11. I have never met both of my grandfathers, they both died before I was born. I never had a pet of my own. I once started a fire with my friend in my backyard and got in trouble. I’m addicted to the color purple. I really don’t like the color pink, it annoys me a lot. I have lots of family members that I’ve never met before; they’re unknown people to me. I really hate Butterfingers and I feel like I’m the only one that does. I love to chew gum. During the winter, I enjoy sledding. Pandas are my favorite kind of animal. Chocolate ice cream is the best in my opinion. I love my family so much, they’re crazy sometimes but I still love them. I like school most of the time. I enjoy listening to music too. Forever 21 is my favorite place to shop. My family is pretty weird just like me.

ReplyDeleteI am getting more ice to throw. At the hotel doors. I was with Sam, Austin, Jamie, Tim, and me. We all throw some ice at the doors and sometimes they would open the door. And the times they did we would hide. It was fun until one person called the police, I think it was the teens that yelled at us but back to police. The police ask were are parents are and Sam show them our room were the parents are play cards. The police left after saying to try to be quiet. Everyone blamed it one me and I got ground for a week.

A Trip Through the Dominican Republic
ReplyDelete“Who’s dad talking to?” I asked my mom. “That’s the man taking us segwaying.” She replied. The man shook my dad’s hand, stepped into a large gray van, and beckoned us to follow him. One by one my family started in after him. I didn’t know it but I just jumped into an hour-long road trip☹.
One hour later… We stepped out of the van and into the bright sunlight when chickens bombarded us. The hens and roosters where throwing all they had at us. They invaded our ears with their loud “Cluck” and killing our lungs with feathers and just pure chicken smell. Me and my family had to take a faze of action. We dove for cover in a building that looked like it wanted to collapse. There we got our segways and hit the trials.
OK, pause the story. Segways are awesome but, if you have no idea what basically the whole story is based on, it’s going to be a wee bit confusing so I’ll explain them. Segways are pretty simple; it’s really a box with wheels and handlebars. Lean forward to go and use the handlebars to steer. If you want a good picture of them they are those things police officers ride in malls. Now that you know what I’m talking about lets resume the story.
The first part of our segway adventure was through the city market place. That’s where all the people gathered to sell their crafts. There were beautiful hand woven rugs, pottery, paintings, food, and more. This place looked nothing like Shakopee!
Next we made our way into the swamp/forest. It was weird to see 20FT trees that grow in the water. Then we took a break and went canoeing but I didn’t really get to because I had a slight problem that affected the rest of the week for me, and no I’m not going to tell you. Well fine, I’ll give you a hint, it was a problem that involved a walk in the woods and a creepy dude with a glass eye. True story!! After canoeing the others retrieved their segways and we made our way to civilization.
The next part of our journey was a sad one. A fact about the Dominican Republic is most people there are very poor. Most live in poverty. The next part of our journey was a neighborhood. I remember the kids came out of their huts in rags and gawked at us on our “fancy segways”. It made me realize how much we have and how much they don’t. Well on that sad note lets go to the last part of our segwaying experience.
The last leg of the trip was on the beach. You could see all the colorful boats that the fishermen use to fish and store their catch. The sunset was sparkling over the water like light on a diamond. It was a perfect ending to a perfect day.
My favorite sport is Gymnastics. I’ve loved it since I was two years old. It is my other half! It consumes my daily life, and is my absolute favorite thing to do. It comes first, before anything else. I can do handstands, back lock-overs, back bends, round-offs, round-off twists, and cartwheels. I am working on being able to do the splits again, like when I was younger. I am also working on a front handspring, back handspring, back/front flips, and tucks. Some of thse things can be done on a trampoline. I am really getting good at tumbling, handstands, and walk-overs.
ReplyDeleteThere is a new Gymnastics academy in Burnsville that I am dying to get into! It is called Dynamics Gymnastics. My mom said that she is also excited for me to start there. She thinks I will improve my technique really fast there. I am a very quick learner. I won’t stop practicing something until I feel I get it right. I am very determined to get things right; a trait that I get from my mother. She too wouldn’t give up until she gets whatever it is right (Usually involving skiing). I would love to be on the Olympic team when I am older.
Staples
ReplyDeleteWhen I was eleven I was trying to save my little sister from my little brother. Let’s go to the beginning me and my little sister (shayna) were playing with toys in her room. I got bored so I walked in to my little brothers room (Logan). Shayna followed. Logan started to scream and cry cause he is scared of me. So we have these foam squares that connect together. So my sister likes to play with them. So we pulled them out. Logan started to scream cause he just cleaned his room. Then he was going to bet up shayna. So I shoved him in to the wall. I heeled him there for about five minutes. He was now angrey at me. He went on a rampage. I ran to my mom she did not do anything to stop him. So I ran down stairs to my brother (Andrew) he heeled down Logan, so I ran to Logan’s room. Andrew let him go but, I was still in his room. he came up screaming. I ran down the stairs he threw the Nerf gun at me. It was like slow motion. He was screaming. I was running down the stairs. The Nerf gun came down splat on my head. There was blood every were. I ran up to my mom. She said part of it was lifting up. Logan was crying cause he knew I would get him back. We called my dad he did not answer. We called again he still did not answer. So we called for the last time he did not answer. He called back five minutes later. My mom told him the whole thing. He came home and took me to the emergency room. We checked in. they eminently took me to the emergency room. The doctors put this numbing gel on it. We walked down to a waiting room. The doctors came and got me. I got to go in a room with a TV. I was watching for a while. Then the doctors came in and gave me some shots they hurt a little bit. The doctors left so I watched more TV. They came back in put the staples in and told us to come back in one week to get them out. In that week I went to school told all my teachers and they looked at them. Some said ew and some said cool. I got a new nick name zombie and staple boy.
The Best Spies in Town
ReplyDelete“Really!”
I hear my sister yell from the downstairs. I quietly chuckle, but not too loud. If she hears me, she will come up to attack me. I think to myself. If I am going to be the best spy, I need to be quiet, and quick. The reason I am doing all of this, is my sister. She was at the age where she liked to annoy me so much, I couldn’t take it anymore. She loved to have friends over, and show them how “cool” she as by attempting to “prank” me. It would, very rarely work. So I was at the point, when I really needed to take matters in my own hands. I decided to give her a piece of her own medicine. I know, I know, I know, I was not being the bigger person that I was supposed to be. I was the bigger sister; I was to be the role model for her. But, oh well. Sometimes, she was at the limit, ready to break my ice. So, I was going to do the same. I could already smell the sweet smell, of revenge.
Well, she had one of her, little friends over, and just like she did on almost a regular basis, they were spying on me. So, I invited one of my friends, to help me with the deed. Ring. Yes! She is here! I ran upstairs from where I was planted (on some part of the staircase), to open the door for her.
“Hi-”
“Shhhh-” I cut her off before she could even finish. “She is downstairs with one of her friends. I need your help to help me spy on her. We are going to give her a piece of her own medicine.” I tell her my plan, and she edits it to make it full proof. Then, we go into my room, and grab some supplies. We both grab a small bag to put the stuff in it. When we finish finding supplies, we swung the bag around our back, and then headed out to a good spot. Where they would never in a million years, ever find our secret spot.
If you were wondering, our secret spot was on the stair case. In the direct middle of the main level, and the basement. We sat down all of our stuff, and took out the main stuff we would use then. I took out of my bag, the pen. My friend took out the lined notebook paper. We both turned our heads and smirked. We were so ready! Then before we could really even react, I spotted the two targets. My sister, and her friend. They were running to the couch. They practically ran right past us. I can’t believe they didn’t see us. That was too close. “Snap out of it.” My friend said while actually, snapping her fingers. “Oh, sorry… pass me the notebook please.”
Then my friend and I made them a note. It said…
We can see you!
Then we threw it at them. When the friend of my sister picked it up, she read it and showed her. She instantly knew it was us. So while we both were laughing, she came up to us, and said, “You guys, I can see you, you know.” We both knew immediately, that we were busted. “Oh…” We said. “Well, this is weird. So… bye.” Then we took off running. My sister screamed, because she didn’t have any evidence that my friend and I even did that, so everything turned out well. Besides that, she also got to rub it in my face that she found me.
So now, my sister and I still get mad at each other, just like any other type or kind of sibling. So ci thought, instead of going against each other, we could, go with each other. But of course, we will still fight, like I said before. We won’t get along all the time, and have our little disagreements. Our fights make us stronger. Together. But we may be sisters, but our friendship is even stronger than that, we will always be best friends for life. And that will never change between us. Our fights make us understand each other more. For instance, the other persons side of their story. Now, she is almost 7, and my heart has not changed from my statement. And I really hope that she feels the same ways. She may be at the age, where she sometimes wants to hang out with me, and I don’t want her too. That will never mean that I don’t love her. She is my life. She and I are forever friends. And that will never change.

ReplyDeleteWOW! Now I have nothing to do I hate being grounded! On Tuesday November 12 2012 I was grounded for staying outside when it was dark. It was a Saturday three days before I got grounded for staying outside in the dark for too long.
So on Saturday I went outside around like noon and played football with some of my friends in their backyard. We have been playing for 30 minutes playing football. Then 5 hours went by and it was 5:00 about to be dark. I was at my friend’s house having hot Coca and it was creamy and good and when I got home my dad was mad two days later I was outside with my friends playing football again at the same time and this time I was outside the whole time and my dad called me on the phone while I was outside I didn’t answer because I had my phone on silent. Two minutes after he called, he came and looks for me but I was at my friend’s house that he didn’t know where he lived. I got my phone and had saw he had called so I called him back and he didn’t pick up his phone, so one minute later he called back and he was furious at me and I said I was at my friend’s house have hot Coca again but I really wasn’t I said that so I can get out of trouble but it didn’t work because the first time I said I was at my friend’s house having hot Coca and saying that again makes it easier to find out that I been outside playing or inside a friend house. So I had to go to my room and sit there and be grounded until Christmas. I said this is TORCHER! This was the worst cause I had nothing to do but then I thought his tactually what I get for not listening and do things that get things you in trouble

A Really Bad Memory
ReplyDeleteWhen I went to visit my cousins when I was 8, I got scared out of my mind! It was dark and cold and me and my cousins were walking to a bakery to pick up some bread for my grandmother. It was around 10:35 at night and we were heading back to my grandmother’s house. We didn’t want to go up the dirt road because we heard screaming near a stone wall on top of a sewer passage. So we cut into the cemetery and something weird happens. We hear violent sounds like someone kicking another person, and there were weird voices. We turned around a house near the cemetery only to find out there was a gang shootout happening in the road. We tried to run but unfortunately one of the gang members shot my cousin Manny in the chest. My cousin Alan’s dad was a doctor and he told us that his dad taught him the positions of the organs in the chest. He told us Manny was shot under the heart and that he was going to be fine but he would need a doctor to recover. The hospital was 4 blocks away and we were running as fast as we could but when we got there, it was too late, my cousin Manny was dead. His funeral was a month later and we were all waiting to see him, in his coffin, giving our blessings waiting for the burial.
Ouch that hurts! Be careful! These are some of the things I say every morning .it’s hard being a football sometimes Ouch! That really hurt! Sorry these people play really rough.
