Where I am From
This is a place where we will have a compilation on lines from your own Where I am From poems! Please choose one to two lines from your poem and post them here using your pen name. Happy posting!
I am from filled notebooks, covered with dreams and wishes. Scribbles and drawings. Pencil on paper. I am from saucy spaghetti, topped with cheese and tomato sauce. Cheese melts all over, covering pasta in a gooey mess.
I am from a place where nothing is a coincident, nothing. I am from a group of really weird but interesting people. I am from happy faces that I draw on my papers and other people’s papers.
I am from my family’s doughy, delicious, and creamy caramel rolls. My favorite,I am from my dazzling memories of trips to the big state of Indiana, to the cheesy state of Wisconsin, and to the open space of Wyoming.
I am from The sound of Construction creating new things The taste of Cadbury Cream Eggs on Easter and the stress of school The smell of pine trees and the fun of summer
I am from “Tickle Time” and being tossed around on my Dads cushiony bed. I am from Pooh blankey, soft and delicate as a feather. I am from the hard, dense, cement ball, cracking the acorns off the baby oak. I am from the game Animal Jam on my dad’s super- speed rainbow-lighted computer.
I am from words that float off a page, every word seeming to have its own flavor as I read, from tangy to sweet to bitter to sour . I am from a paper full of drawings with splashes of imagination everywhere!
I am from riding the cool waves and going down the green slides in Water park of America to walking around and eating food on a stick at the state fair.
I am from hard earned certificates and my over flowing box of pictures that have been with me since pre-school, holding memories.
I am from a pot of spicy curry and a heaping bowl of white rice.
I am from me and my cousin and my little brother playing our favorite game, TAG!!!! I am from dancing in the rain with my little brother and big sister.
I am from an old mini-van that smells like dirty socks and would always take me to my favorite places.I am from a ginormous snow fort and massive snow ball fights that when you get hit it stings.
.I am from my grandma that yells I don’t know where you put it when I lose stuff.I I am from my sister’s pond I swim in the summer time with my sisters.
I am from a loud, snoring dad and a very kind, loving mother that gives all my Halloween candy to my friends. I am from a family that likes animals a lot even though we don’t go to the zoo much.
I am from the sweating and fear of gymnastics.I am from the pleasing Christmas party’s every year and sitting by the cozy fire place and drinking hot cocoa.
