The book we were reading is called “Freak the Mighty” and the movie is called “The Mighty”. The part I liked best about the book was when Freak saves Max because it is heartwarming and you can tell that they are best friends. The best part of movie is when Freak starts to drive because it was really funny and entertaining! The book is better than the movie because it has a lot more details than the movie like when they had Christmas it was really short in the movie but like a chapter in the book. I would change the movie because it is predictable. All of a sudden Max is sleeping, and then Freak just dies in his sleep, in the book he dies at the hospital. I would recommend the book and the movie because it has a mix of feelings, some parts are sad, some parts are joyful. Also the story that the author wrote was really amazing.
ReplyDeleteIn the book “Freak the Mighty”, I found that I liked the way the book had been written from Max’s point of view. Though the movie couldn’t really cover and accomplish the whole movie from that view, I found that the foreshadowing scenes of Kenny Kane and his mom were a great suspense. I think that the book is better because it is much more paced, and that makes it easier to dive into! I would definitely change the “purse in the drain” scene, in which the movie became a little too over dramatic between the match with Max and Freak vs. Tony D. and his gang. Speaking overall now, I would definitely pick the book “Freak the Mighty” but they both were certainly worth experiencing!!!
ReplyDeleteMy favorite part in the book Freak the Mighty was when Freak was riding on top of Max when they were running away from Blade and his gang. It had a lot of suspense when they all got stuck in the lake. My favorite part in the movie was when Freak shot some fake sulfuric acid at Killer Cane and got him screaming. It was really funny seeing him scream and go crazy like that. I liked the book better because the movie excluded some important parts of the story. It skipped visiting the police station and Christmas. I think the movie should add more key parts of the story to make it go better. The book should probably add some more suspense to the beginning and middle of the story.
ReplyDeleteI liked the part in the book where Freak was talking about his squirt gun. I liked it because I found it funny how he tricked Kane that it was Sulfuric Acid but it was only soap, vinegar, and water. My favorite part in the movie was when Freak was driving the car. I liked it because when Freak was driving he was taking sharp turns and speeding and I was surprised how he didn’t get pulled over. I think that the book was better than the movie because the book was more descriptive at certain parts, such as when Freak died because in the movie it just skipped it. I would change the part in the movie were Freak died because when it died it skipped to one scene showed another with an ambulance and Freak was dead, I would have made it with more details.
ReplyDeleteI very much enjoyed The Mighty, but I feel that the book, “Freak the Mighty” was better. The book was much more descriptive. Also, the movie left out some important parts in the book. So, I guess I would change the movie a little bit. I would definitely change the scene of Freak’s death. It was kind of like, oh he died. It didn’t even take place in the hospital! I wish it would’ve been more descriptive and meaningful. I would also change when things happened. In the movie timing was a little bit off. Things in the book and movie happened at complete different times. But, there are some things I wouldn’t change about the movie. In the movie my favorite part was when Max was yelling at his dad about Loretta Lee and his mom. I loved how intense it was! I also liked how I got to see Max’s story about his mom’s death. But my favorite part in “Freak the Mighty”, the book, was when Freak died. It was so action packed! I didn’t want Mrs. Thom to stop reading! It was so awesome to have that feeling of wow, I love reading! Overall, The Mighty and “Freak the Mighty” are just amazing. No question about it.
ReplyDeleteThe part I liked most in the BOOK, was when they celebrated Christmas because, I could really picture the scene and play a movie in my head. In the movie, I would say I loved the Christmas part also. I like the Christmas scene because it gave me an actual visual of the time they were celebrating Christmas together. Although the movie was a great film, I liked the book better because, it’s more descriptive, but I did like having to visuals from the movie- about how they all looked. One thing I would’ve changed in the movie was how quickly Freak died, and how he did. I would’ve liked the movie a whole lot better, if it was more like the books ending because, It would’ve been better for Max to see Freak before he died so unexpectedly.
ReplyDeleteIn the book “Freak the Mighty”, the part that I liked best was when Freak gave Max his personal dictionary on Christmas Eve, I thought it was really nice how hard Freak must have worked to give Max the present. I was kind of upset when the Christmas scene didn’t occur in the movie, “The Mighty” but my favorite part in the movie was when Freak drove the car to find Max, I thought it was funny and very unpredictable. The book though is MUCH better hands down, it’s more touching and the movie skips way too many big scenes, if I could change the book and/or the movie, I would make Freak die in the hospital because in the movie, it went a little too fast. I would also have Freak’s side of the story on how he got to Killer Kane and Max because it would’ve made the book a bit more fun. The last thing I would like to change is in the movie AND the book, I would make Freak survive, I know it’s the main part but it’s so sad! Freak was Max’s only friend but he had to die so all those adventures they had stopped because of his death.

ReplyDeleteThe part in the book I liked best was when Freak saved Max from his dad. It showed how much Freak and Max were friends, and it had a lot of details to make me want to keep reading. In the movie, I liked it when Freak and Max went on their adventures. It was really fun to actually see them go around and help people. I liked the book better because it was more descriptive and took its time. The movie was rushed and that really disappointed me. Some changes I would make to the movie would be showing them all open their Christmas presents and Freak with his fancy triangle box. Lastly, I would make Freak die in the hospital. It was too rushed from right after Christmas. Overall, even though both the stories are good, I like the book better.
I liked the book and the movie equally. The book was WAY more descriptive. My Favorite part of the book was when Freak comes to the rescue and squirts Killer Kane’s eyes with the water, vinegar, and curry powder mixture. On the other hand the movie was good, but not my favorite. The best part of the movie is when Max takes Freak to the firework show. Then when Max put Freak on his shoulders. Then Freak starts yelling out different elements. I personally think that the movie could improve. The movie could use more description, and like when Freak dies they just jump right to it. The book actually explains it.
ReplyDeleteMy favorite part in the book is when Freak rolls through the window. I like that part because I can picture really well a little kid rolling through a small basement window. In the movie I was disappointed Freak didn’t roll through the window but through the door in the old ladies house not in the old burned down house. I also didn’t like that Freak just died in his sleep, not in the hospital!!!!! The movie wasn’t all bad there were some good parts……. for example when Freak is in the hospital because he had a seizure and he points to the doctor and says “Spock.” I also laughed when Freak was playing with his chop suey. A really funny part was when Max was talking to the Fair Gwen about if Freak ever ate his chop suey to fast he’d dump it on his head. I liked the book better than the movie the movie was too choppy, it really didn’t stay to the book’s timeline.

ReplyDeleteThe best part in the Freak the Mighty book was when freak had threatened Killer Kane (Max’s Dad) that he had gotten a chemistry set from Christmas and he had acid in his squirt gun ready to shoot if he moved. But what he really had was Curry powder, Vinegar, and Soap that was in the squirt gun. So when Kane taunted him Freak shot and Kane was screaming like a little girl/shrieking. It was the best part in the book because it was funny how I could visualize Kane running around holding his eyes and screaming like a lunatic. But in the Movie ‘’The Mighty’’ was when Max was fighting Tony D and his crew, and Tony was about to hit Max with chains when then suddenly Max grabbed a Sewer Cap from the ground and blocked the chains coming at him. But the cool part was when Freak had visualized that the Sewer cap was a Shield and that Max was blocking a Sword instead of chains. I would say that the book is better than the movie because the book has more details such as. When Freak Died in the book Max had went to the hospital and found out that Freak died because his heart grew too big for his body. But in the Movie Max wakes up on his bed and Gram is sitting there then she says ‘’Freak died’’. Some changes I would make to the book is that I would have more details on Max explaining more about his childhood because we would know where he is coming from. Because sometimes Max just starts yelling a gains all this courage and strength all of the sudden the movie.
In the book “Freak the Mighty” there are a lot of good parts but my favorite part is when Freak saves Max from his murderous dad. I like this part because it shows how much they care about each other that they are willing to risk their lives. While I was watching the movie this part really stuck out to me the part when Max had Freak up on his shoulders watching the fireworks, because Freak kept yelling out a bunch of weird things when they exploded. In my opinion the book was better because it gave way more details and it didn’t rush through it. One of the changes I would make to the movie is to make go through the movie because that makes it go to fast so they don’t focus at all it just happens. Another change to the movie is making Freak die somewhere else, like with Max because that makes it dramatic and shows true friendship. I would recommend both the book and the movie because it is heartwarming and you get some good laughs.

This showed that Max cared that all Freak could see on the ground was “feet and elbows,” he says. This also made me wonder if Max needed freak as a friend and if he realized how hard Freaks’ life was as a cripple.
ReplyDeleteThe movie, The Mighty, interpreted the characters differently than I had imagined. My favorite part of the movie was when Freak was attempting to drive his mom’s van to rescue Max from his dad, Killer Kane. This was also a sign that Freak cared about Max from and would do anything to save him. I thought that Freak would have to be crazy to drive a van, but it was funny when he crashed it into things and when you saw it swerve. I think the book was much better than the movie, because it seems like the book was more detailed than the movie. In the movie Freak was okay, and then suddenly he was in the hospital .If I could change something in the book an d in the movie, I would make Freak survive, because he deserves a long life.vi would also change that the movie seems rushed an d things happen too quickly, unlike in the book where everything is detailed.
My favorite part in the movie was when Freak saved Max from Killer Kane because of how he saved Max. Freak squirted Kane with vinegar, chili powder and soap to make him think that his eyes were burning. I think that is a funny way to save somebody. With someone like Freak, you would expect something like that. My favorite part in the book is when Freak and Max were at the fireworks. Max put Freak on his shoulders and Freak was screaming out all of the chemicals in fireworks. I like that part because I could image and understand what was happening. It shows they had a good friendship. I think the book is better than the movie because the movie skipped around a lot and the book was more fluent. The book had a lot of details so you could image almost anything the author was talking about. I would change the movie to be more like the book by changing the ending. I would make it so they had Christmas together and Freak got sent to the hospital. While Freak was in the hospital, he dies. It adds more suspense in the movie and it would also keep you guessing what happens next.

I think this is the best part, because he didn’t just die in his sleep like in the movie, it showed how he died and his last words to Max and his mom. Even though the movie wasn’t quite as good its best part is when Freak chokes on American chopped suey. I liked this part because it’s funny. The movie wasn’t as good, because at the end, when Freak dies, he shouldn’t have just died in his sleep. He should’ve had time to talk to his mom and Max, like in the book. Both the movie and the book lacked action and adventure. Overall, the book is a little bit better than the movie.
ReplyDeleteMy favorite part of “Freak the Mighty” in the book was how Freak saved Max. It was a strategic plan and all Freak wanted was to help Max which is both caring and heartwarming that’s why I like it so much. What I think is the best part of the movie is after Freak dies Max runs to the research center barefoot with just shorts and a t-shirt. His feet are bloody and I’m sure he’s freezing but he can’t stop himself from running into the building then crying. In the movie they show it that the building is like a laundry thing and I would be so devastated that it wasn’t a research center I think I would’ve cried too. The book was better than the movie because it had more details and in every scene it was way more descriptive. The movie needs to add more about Freak’s death it was so sudden in the movie and it didn’t even happen in the hospital that really disappointed me. They should also add more details about the Christmas time scene. By doing some of those things I think the movie would get significantly better.

In the book Freak runs of at night to save Max with his squirt gun full of soap, water and curry powder. In the movie Freak leaves with a huge sign is his room saying he would explain when he gets back. All the sudden he’s in a van driving, he crashes into the construction, sleds down a hill on a piece of metal. Then he’s suddenly at the apartment where Max is with a squirt gun full of soap, water, and chili powder. The movie is just too fast, it’s exciting but I feel like the movie jumps from part to part to quickly, it doesn’t explain what really happens. To make the movie better I’d add more detail to it because it would help the book slow down and focus on the details that lead up to the main part. The book I would add more exciting parts like in the movie but still have it flow like it already does.

During the movie “The Mighty”, my favorite part was when Freak was playing with the chop suey at the school cafeteria. I liked the book better than the movie because the book had more description and detail than the movie did. Also in the movie, a lot of scenes that were in the in the book weren’t there. In the movie I would change the part when Gram tells Max that Freak died to the part in the book where Max goes to the hospital and finds out. In the book, I would add the part when Freak and Max go to the museum and look at the King Arthur exhibit and I would also add the part to the book when Freak and Max are in the hospital and Freak points out a doctor that looks like Spock.

ReplyDelete“Freak The Mighty” was a great book and movie. I loved the part in the book, was when Max ran to Freak all the way on the other side of town, when Freak was in the hospital. I have to say that shows courage and determination that Max has for Freak and shows how good of a friend ship they have. I have to say the movie was great too! I loved the Christmas scene in the movie because it was joyful, funny and overall they came together as a family and that was great to see that. If I had to say if I liked the book V.S. the movie, I would choose the book because it was detailed more, had good thrill; overall it talked about Freak’s life longer, not rely fast like the movie. Also I personally think that to make the movie better they should extend Freak’s life longer and more detailed, “Not soo fast!” But overall circumstances the movie AND the book were phenomenal!!
ReplyDeleteI liked this book a lot more than the movie for many reasons. First off the movie was not very descriptive. It could have been a lot more descriptive. Second Blade’s gang shows up way too often and Freak’s death was too short. If I could’ve changed the movie I would’ve changed the end where Freak dies. I would’ve let max run to the hospital and end the movie like the book. Then if I could change the book I would add a longer story to Max’s past like when they talked about Freak getting bullied at school and Max getting blamed. I would put what it was like before Freak but much more. He would be avoided and teased at school because he is so huge. My favorite part in the movie is when Max takes the manhole cap and beats Blade and his gang with it. This part was my favorite because it had lots of action and showed Max protecting Freak showing friendship. My favorite part in the book was when Max breaks into the hospital to find out that Freak is dead and he tries so hard and breaks doors and kicks guards. I choose this as my favorite part because it also had a lot of action and is very descriptive.

And my favorite part in the movie is when Blade ambushed Freak and Max while they were getting Loretta Lees’ purse. That was an exciting part. I loved the movie and the book but my favorite was the book because in the movie it just jumped from one part to another but in the book it went slower and had more details so you could understand the part. ReplyDeleteI liked in the book when Freak the Mighty was running away from blade and his gang. I liked this part because it was funny how Freak was steering Max away from them and into the pond, and then the police came and everything! It was funny when Freak was driving the van to go save Max and crashed into the construction site. When Freak flew off the hill and the bumper, I could tell it wasn’t going to end well. Then he face planted into the snow. That was pretty sad. In my opinion the book was a lot better than the movie. The book had so much more detail than the movie and I could comprehend the book a lot better too.
ReplyDeleteIf I were to change something I would change the whole movie. I think when they made The Mighty” they should’ve followed the book guidelines a little more closely. When Freak died in the book it was sad and emotional for max and everybody else. When he died in the movie it just kind of happened. I would definitely choose the book before the movie.
The part of “Freak the Mighty” I liked the best was when Freak and Max were in the other neighborhoods and pretended that there were dragons and castles because it was funny and cool. The part in “The Mighty” liked the best was when Freak was riding on Max’s shoulders when they were watching the fireworks because it was very hilarious to hear what Freak was saying. I liked the “Freak the Mighty” better because it had more details and it was more organized than “The Mighty.” I would change the movie because it needs to have more detail and it needs to be more organized
ReplyDeleteIn this book, “Freak the Mighty” there was a huge amount of favorite parts that you could’ve choose from, but the one I chose was when Freak came to save Max at the hotel. It showed the true friendship between the two of them. All it took to take Max’s dad down (Killer Kane) was vinegar, curry, water, and soap. The part I liked best in the movie was how Max and Freak’s friendship started out, Max was spying on Freak over the fence. Then Freak got his bird stuck in the tree his “Orinthopiter”. The part I didn’t like in the movie was there was no detail to what was going on in the movie. I would prefer the book over the movie because the movie didn’t have detail, the book on the other hand was full of detail, and informed you of what was going on. In the movie Freak just died, no detail or anything. Personally I wouldn’t touch the book, The movie needed a bunch of fixing up. I would change the part when Freak died over everything.
ReplyDeleteIn the movie The Mighty my absolute favorite part in the movie was when Freak and Max met in the tutoring room because I knew they were always going to be friends. There’s a part in the movie where it was really intense, it was also my favorite part. It was when Killer Kane kidnapped Max and brought him to Iggy and Loretta because usually the movie changed up some things so you didn’t know what Killer Kane was going to do. So it was scary with a mix of suspense and caution. If I were to choose between the book (Freak the Mighty) or the movie (The Mighty) I would have to choose the book because in the book there was a lot more emotion and details. While in the movie it had a rare sense of emotion which leads to boredom. The only part in the movie that I actually felt a little emotion was when Max got kidnapped by his father (Killer Kane).

The part in the movie I like best was when Freak and Max was at the tunnel thing and Blade and his crew came and Max was getting angry because Max finally stands up to them and scares them off. I like the book better because it gave more details than the movie. In the movie I would change when freak was choking and that someone ran to go get help instead of standing and watching him choke.

The part in the movie I liked best is at the end of the movie when Max fixes Freaks orinthopter and then makes it fly across the sky because Max remembers all the good times he and freak had together. I think the movie was better than the book because then I could see what they describe in the book but with pictures instead of words. I’m a visual person so I like to see visually what the book says. I would improve the movie in adding more details at the last chapter, because I think they need to add more details.

Next my favorite part of the movie I liked best is Max writing in the book Freak gave him. I choose that because he was really into it and he was doing something without Freak. I say the book because it had way more details about what was happening in the book, and the movie changed stuff. Last of all I would change nothing in the book because I like how there just a little bit different, for example both the movie and the book have chapters. But there not the same chapters, there just a tad bit different.

The part in the movie that I liked best was when Max, Grim and Gram and Freak and Gwen celebrate Christmas together, because they were spending time together nicely as friends and family. Which do I think is better, the book or movie? Why? The book because it had more details and it explained more stuff and the big stuff that happened. But the movie was still good but it took out a lot of important things so it didn’t make it as good as the book. Specific changes I would make to improve the book and/or the movie. I think they should change the movie because they took out a lot of things and added weird things to the movie that don’t make sense. In the movie one thing that I noticed was when Tony B and his gang come to the sewer while Max and Freak are getting Loretta’s purse and in the book Tony B and his gang never come to the sewer.
ReplyDeleteIn the book “Freak the Mighty” I really liked it when Killer Kane is choking Loretta Lee and then when he is choking max because that made the book very suspenseful, and that is what makes a book really good! When it comes to the movie my favorite part of the movie is when Max is writing the story because he just doesn’t stop writing for a while and he just writes basically what is on his mind and that is what makes books emotional. I personally thought the book was better because it had more detail to make you visualize the small things in books. If I was the one that wrote the book and produced the movie too I would make most of the details in the movie from the book to make it duplicated.

I also like the part in the movie is where Max stops his dad from killing Freak/ Kevin by tackling his dad into the wall because it has a lot of action in it and because it shows their greatest friendship on how much Max likes Freak/ Kevin. I thought the book was way better than the movie because it got into the details which showed what the character are like and then I can picture the characters also because it had way more events than the movie. I would change the movie by having all the events had because it would make more sense I’d also change the book by adding all the events that the movie so then the movie would make way more sense.

I liked this part because Max’s dad tied Max up without thinking he could escape but with the help of Loretta Max got a knife and cut the rope and he saved Loretta from Killer Kane choking her. My favorite part in the movie was when they are at the store and Freak is on Max’s shoulders and a guy is choking the girl and Max told him to stop. I liked this part because Max did it without fear and he got him to stop. I liked the movie better because it is easier for me to watch the movie and understand it because sometimes it is hard for me to keep track of what I am reading and I like seeing it visually. If I could change the book I would put the part in when they are at the store because it is one of my favorite parts. I would also add the part in the book when Freak is Max’s tutor because that is when they really meet again and become good friends.
ReplyDelete“Freak the mighty” is a good book! Out of this whole book the part I liked best was when freak saved max from killer Kane (max’s dad). The reason I think this is the best part is it shows that maw and freak have a great friendship. I also liked this part in the movie because you get to see all the action and how it happens and not just picturing it. Out of seeing the book and reading the movie I liked the movie better. Because you get to physically see what is happening. Also I think movies are better than books because books sometimes get to be boring and movies keep you interested in my opinion. If I had to pick one part about the movie I would change it would be I would add more to the movie from the book. For example when Max and his dad go to the burnt down building because freak saves max from there and that’s a good part of the book because they almost fall through the floor and if your going to make a book and you make a movie based off of it then add all the stuff you have in the book.
ReplyDeleteIn are classroom we read the book Freak the Mighty and watched the movie The Mighty. My favorite part in the book is when they all went to Gwen’s house to celebrate Charismas eve and all open one present because it made me feel good inside. My favorite part in the movie is when at the end of the movie when Max started flying the Orinthopter because it made me feel like max has learned so much from Freak. I think I like the book better than the movie because I think the book has more detail and longer exhilarating parts. If I were to change one part in the book or/and the movie it would be Freak dying because I like movies and books that have a happily ever after story.
ReplyDeleteIn the book Freak the Mighty my favorite part is when Freak sprays Maxes dad Killer Kane in the eyes with “acid” which is relay soap water and vinegar. I loved this part because Freak tells Killer Kane that it is “the world’s most deadliest acid in the world.” Then Freak sprays him and prevents Killer Kane to kill his son Max. My personal favorite part in the movie is Max finds out Freak is his tutor. I liked that part because that is when Freak starts to see the real Max not a scary big kid but he is just a kid who wants some friends. I think the book is way better than the book because the book has way more details. Finally I would change the movie because when Freak has his seizer because it brings you to like the end when Freak lets go.

ReplyDeleteThe part in the book I liked best was when Freak sprayed Kenny Kane in the eyes with a water gun. Because freak told Kenny that it was a bunch of chemicals mixed together that could rip the paint off a car in three seconds, but it was just soap. The part in the movie I liked best was when Max and freak went to Loretta lees house. Because Iggy didn’t look as tough as I thought he would. Out of the book and the movie I would choose the book over the movie any day because the director for to movie cut out all the really good parts that where in the book. For example when Max got the oranthopiter out of the tree and carried freak in the wagon back to his basement. To improve the movie I would put all the parts that they missed from the book into the movie. For example when freak gives Max the pyramid box that has all the arrows pointing to the button, when Max pushes the button it unfolds with a empty dictionary.
The part I liked was wean Tony D gets smack talk by Freak and Tony D gets so mad. Tan a cop car comes by and they run. The part I liked in the move the best was wean Max get captured by his dad Killer Kane. Then Freak sprays him with his acid. I thought that the book was better because it has a better ending and it is more descriptive. If I could I would change the movie and make the ending of wear Freak dies in his sleep to wean he dies in the hospital because the book is more descriptive.

The best part of the movie is when Max start to write in the book that Freak gave him and never stops because Max loves Freak so much. That is why he wrote a book about it. I like the book better because it gave me more details like when Freak dies his in the hospital and not Freak‘s house. The movie was just to boring for me it left out to many details for me. I would like to add more details about the book but there is just to much to say. If I would have written all the details about the book in the movie I would have looked the movie better but they didn’t so that’s why I like the book better.
ReplyDeleteThe part I liked the best in the book was when Kevin told Max that a word is like a picture and you use your imagination to put them together. I like it because it told a lot about their friendship. It shows how Kevin is willing to teach Max. The part I liked the best in the movie was when Freak was driving his mom’s car and he crashed it into a construction site. I liked it because it shows how Freak will try to save Max from his dad. I liked the book better because it gave a lot of detail. I liked it because it explained what kind of situations they were in. I would make a change to the book to have Kevin live longer so that they could say their goodbyes in the hospital or something.

I enjoyed this part of the book because the book is very detailed in the emotions that Freak and Max were feeling while they were running away from Tony D. The part I liked best in the movie The Mighty is when Max saved Loretta Leas life and Freak saved Max’s life. This part of the movie helped me understand the book and the movie better because I was able to see what was really going on. I like the book better than the movie because the book is so much more descriptive in all the parts and has more detail. If I were to fix the book or movie it would be the movie. I would like the movie to be closer to the book than what it is. The movie leaves out important parts of the book like how Freak dies, Tony D getting stuck in the mud or Killer Kane and Max going to the old abandoned testament buildings.

The part in the movie I liked the best was when Max picks up the sewer grate and using it like a shield against Tony D and his gang with baseball bats. I liked the book because I understand what is happening in the book. Cause it gives specific details about it. Explain specific changes you would make to improve the book or/and the movie? I would change the movie because, I don’t understand how Max and Freak became friends with each other.

The part in the movie I liked the best was when Max fights blade and his gang, that’s because Max finally stood up to them. I thought the movie was better than the book, because in the movie you could actually see what was going on in Maxes mind but in the. But in the book he tells you what’s going on but you can’t see it. The part in the book and movie I would take out is when freak lies to max because that made max felt like he was so stupid.

My favorite part in movie is when they have thanksgiving at Freaks house and everyone helps out. The movie has to be better because the movie you could see how everyone look like. My favorite part of the book is when Freak is riding high on Max’s shoulders. Because max said he doesn’t care and it was just natural. My favorite part in the movie is when Max, Grim and Gram go to Freaks house and have Christmas because they are having a good time with each other. I think that the book was better because it gives more details about how Freak died. I would change when max goes in the laboratory and it’s a cleaning place.
ReplyDeleteMy favorite part of the movie was when Max’s dad kidnapped him from his grandparent’s basement. It showed a lot of emotion and it was cool to see because there was a lot of fighting and action. My favorite part of the book was when Blade and his gang chased Freak and Max into the millpond. Max was knee deep in the pond and Freak was almost under the water so Max grabbed Freak and put him on his shoulders. Then Blade came into the pond with a knife to chase them but he got stuck and his gang pulled him out. The book made it sound more exciting.

The movie needed more things like the book because it was confusing that it wasn’t at all like the book. The book was great because it had every thing it needed to make it good. This book was probably the best book I have ever heard of. I wish every book was like “Freak the Mighty”.

Freak VS Max
ReplyDeleteI liked the part in the book when freak saved max from "Killer Kane." I liked that part because that scene showed true friendship because freak risked his life to save max. I liked the part in the movie when freak tried to drive. That was really funny because he used his walking sticks to push the pedals. I definitely like the book better because it has a lot more details. I would add the part about Christmas to the movie because it really showed friendship.
